It’s become like a hobby of mine to not pay for a single item every time I check out at Walmart or Kroger. Fuckers have their margins higher than ever and their starting pay is $12-14/hr. If they want to reduce theft then they can hire people to actually work some of the 20 empty check out lanes they have.

The ideals that led to the Fediverse are antithetical to companies like Meta
It’s had a noticeable drop in quality since the protests. Still has loads more content than Lemmy, but Quantity ≠ Quality. I still check it for news/worldsnews/politics, but there’s really nothing important even there that isn’t on Lemmy as well.
This why we all have to vote. Get a super majority, and add seats to the Supreme Court, hopefully end lifetime appointments while we’re at it.
Man I get a twinge of pain in my heart every time I read a comment like this… my partner is dead set on having kids, and I’m not so sure. If I can’t get on board, we’ll need to break up soon despite loving each other. Shit sucks man, why can’t the world just be habitable, it doesn’t seem like much to ask
