Have you seen the comma device? Effectively a lil android device with a camera that plugs into obd port.
I don't think that's toooo different from Tesla or many other automakers. None of them call it 'self driving'. They're driver assistants.

A trend in PCs is mini displays for stats. But linux support seems to be lacking for most. A pi screen with touchscreen support seems like a good option for the use case - assuming someone works out the details.

If you get there too early they'll try to send you home. If you get there too late you will be too late for epidural.
You prob want to be there on the early side.

Try isopropyl alcohol 70%. The stuff you use for disinfectant in the first aid aisle. Soft rubbery plastics do this over time. The alcohol will strip the soft material that is disintegrating and leave the smooth plastic behind.

We just had a window replaced and the installer seems to have chosen a narrower window. There is now a gap outside the window - that is the vinyl ledge that the window sits on is wider than the width of the window itself.
Seems like something that would collect water when it rains. Is this OK? Should it be caulked or something to ensure water stays out?

Does everyone just go based on favorite color or is there some magic im unaware of that I should consider?

I think I handled it well.
I told them yes in a longx50 time. While I was wiping their butt. Then they asked if they were going to die. I told them maybe, when they are an old old old lady like Grandma.
That seemed to go well enough.

There's that one fork or spoon that you like more than others. Why?

Banks are estimating 65% odds, people are dumping us Treasury bonds, there is reporting of a purposeful weakening of the dollar, and I'm seeing the first price hikes enacted. Any suggestions for how to prepare for the shitstorm that's coming?

I know, most of Temu is trash. Anything you highly recommend?

A proposed California ballot initiative, named after alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione, has been recently submitted to the California Attorney General’s Office.

The initiative would make it illegal for an insurance company to “delay, deny or modify any medical procedure or medication” suggested by a licensed physician in the Golden State, which could have serious consequences such as “disability, death, amputation, permanent disfigurement, loss or reduction of any bodily function,”

Why are we taxing working people more than billionaires?

Cheaper, no added sugar, and just as convenient.

Hi. Just shooting out a bugpost in case it's helpful.

Today, I engaged in some mild trolling and flew too close to the sun with my satire, and my post was removed from conservative@lemmy.world. The removal happened on Fedia quickly after the Lemmy removal.

A quick convo with the mod there had the post reinstated. It's now visible on the original instance. That reinstatement occurred about 10 hrs ago.

However, the fedia version is still showing 'removed by moderator' as the status.

So, seems like 'removals' are federated quickly. However, 'reinstatements' are not federating out or are doing so with substantial delays.
