I think that’s part of the joke too. Like the whole comic has been written out of order due to race conditions; rather than just the father represents race conditions.

It’s one degree of humour too far though, if that’s the case, doesn’t really land.

This photo was taken years and years ago, look how young Neil Gaiman is in it.

Came across an issue with this post: https://lemmy.ml/post/9922111

When viewed in browser it’s a scene from Star Trek about beards, when viewed in Avelon though it’s a video of chinchilla’s dancing and waving their butts about.

Happens each time the post loads, in both the main feed and the post view itself.

It isn’t. The point is that accruing back taxes requires payment and may, at the discretion of the IRS, mandate a criminal charge. He wasn’t charge at the time because he paid, but he could have been. So now they want him to have been.

However I think neither party really wants things to go this way, and Republicans are going to see lots of retaliatory investigation and charges brought over missed payments etc. should they pursue this.

A waste of time and money, doesn’t improve anything in the world, just creates more division. Basically the GOP motto.

Tesla opens factory in space, everyone suffocates, Tesla argue “well we don’t need to provide oxygen in other places”…

Hey @evgiz,

I have a quick wee feature request. I’ve got the mark read in scroll AND hide on read features enabled. As it stands I get about 20 posts or so from last I checked Avelon, followed by months old content.

It would be great if, at least on my Home feed, I could have the feed end at posts older than a week?

Thanks muchly, J.

I wouldn’t trust her to deliver a pizza, let alone a budget.

Hey bud, was wondering if you could start mirroring the RC of a release to TestFlight. I’ve noticed during the last few releases (three at least) that after a TestFlight pass an RC is pushed to the Production channel but not mirrored to TF. That means that the TF testers are back and forth between TF+AppStore, and that TF testers can’t use the feedback function or send logs if we encounter issues in the RCs.

I noticed a couple things on the new TF build. Posting works, but, when both posting and commenting, the content box is bordered by what seems to be a 2px red line.

It’s also slightly counter intuitive when drafting a new post, to have to hit “Done” before being able to hit Publish.

Blame is too laden a word here.

TL;DR: CDPR have opted to shutter their in-house engine, Red Engine (which CP2077 was built on) in favour of a partnership with Unreal. Most of their devs have now switched to Unreal; with only those left on the upcoming CP2077 release still using Red Engine 4.

They have opted to no longer work at all on the Red Engine projects; ergo they either port CP to Unreal (an incomprehensibly large task given that Unreal doesn’t support many features that Red does, or at least not in the way Red does - not a slight on Unreal, simple reality of different engines, especially internal vs external tooling), or cease further development of CP. They opted for the latter.

I don’t think this is a mistake.

When the setting was first released it was styled Plane Scape and though has subsequently been used as Planescape the registration may date as far back as the initial early 90s.

Trademarks are a funny thing though, take Coca-Cola. If they register only COCA-COLA with the hyphen, that doesn’t allow Pepsi to make a sparkling brown sugar drink called Coca Cola. Intention is important in these matters, not just the technicality of what is registered. Registrations also allow for “stylisation”, which means you don’t need to register a new mark to stylise your existing mark.
