This man ran into the weirdos on Mastodon. I'm over there hanging out with people posting about ass-pennies and no one cries "content warning!" You're the one who decides who you follow and who follows you. If your hanging out with folks too sensitive for your liking, that's on you.

That someone better is you. Research is always like that. If you started your project with all the knowledge you gained from doing it, it would only take you two weeks, sure, but the whole point of research is gaining that knowledge and teaching it to other people.

It's not totally vestigial, it helps regulate colon bacteria. People without their appendix take longer to recover from diarrhea, which is important when bad water and spoiled food are a more regular part of your life.

When it stops being illegal to help vulnerable people, I'll stop cheering for folks who open carry firearms to deter cops that might otherwise try to stop them.

Dude, he lied about the weather and the size of the crowd on his inauguration day. He fundamentally doesn't care about the truth. He doesn't hate it or anything, it's just that the truth isn't important to him unless denying it would get him in immediate trouble.

As a scientific researcher I am amazed at everyone being all like "yeah me too."

#WHAT

How you about to be citing something without being 100% sure it actually supports your claim? That shit could easily have a bunch of qualifications you don't know about!

#ALSO

Bruh. If it's worth citing, it's worth reading the whole paper. You might learn something or gain inspiration for future work. Plus, you know, always be learnin, yo.

......

You guys are gonna hate me.

I would like to add that it's this process plus a little bit of chaos. No one is being nice when it's time to start switching, and crabs can stuck in a smaller shell than the one they started in when it's all said and done.

I know Bernie thanked all the first responders but I also want to thank the people who decided buildings should have sprinkler systems in them, which is ultimately what suppressed the fire. Engineered safety systems are a person's best friend.

Waiting lists are long over here in the US too, depending on the specialty and region. We're simply overpaying for the same quality healthcare while still failing to get 100% coverage.

To answer the question I think you had:

  1. Let's just re-affirm that physical attractiveness does not relate to the value of a person.

  2. If you want to see (what I consider) an attractive trans woman, watch this video. It's very long, yes, but the payoff won't be worth it without the entire context of the video.

  1. You don't notice trans people who pass specifically because they pass. It's a sampling bias problem. You only notice the ones that stand out. Statistics would say you've met plenty of trans people without even realizing it.

You live in a place designed around cars, that's the problem. Society worked fine without cars for a good long while. We could have adopted trains, bikes, and buses without the car and things would be going swimmingly. The idea is to fix our bad town planning so that it's reasonable to get to any destination using any mode if transportation.
