What provocation would justify screaming at someone else's six year old, grabbing them, holding them under water for several seconds and leaving them with a nose bleed?
Manjushri
I wouldn't be surprised at all if he had been smuggled out of the states and back to Israel. There is a long history of Israel protecting Jewish pedophiles and there has been a lot of claims from various people over the years that Epstein worked either for or with Mossad.
I think that this is going exactly as intended. They've flooded the media and internet with documents that have been redacted to a ridiculous extent and inserted a bunch of irrelevant stuff made to look incriminating for political enemies, and a few things like this that are obviously fake. Even if the next administration decides to release everything unredacted, there is so much trash mixed in now, that it will take a decade to separate the real stuff from the trash.
I suspect that that is exactly what it is.
If the goal is to make sure that trial results are based solely on the facts of the case and the letter of the law, then we would have juries composed of lawyers and other experts. We don't though. We have juries made up of randomly selected citizens. There is no logical reason to have a trial by a jury of your peers other than to make it possible for your peers to protect you from unjust laws. If this was a case of jury nullification, then it's a case of our justice system working as intended.
It exists because many people have more money than brains. As for the decal, what you have there is the 2024 Apocalypse Juggernaut 6x6 . My guess is that the owner is probably 5' 9" and 300 lbs gravy seal with 30 guns and 20,000 rounds of ammunition who thinks he's going to take over Florida when society collapses.
Maybe an ad campaign would move the needle, but there are a lot of stupid, selfish, people out there ready to lick the boots.
True. But grand juries are different from criminal trials. Federal criminal convictions, as well as state criminal convictions since 2020, require that the jury verdict must be unanimous. That means one hold out can prevent a conviction for something like weed possession.
State courts have required unanimous verdicts since 2020. Before that year, nearly all states followed the federal criminal trial procedure. Two states—Oregon and Louisiana—allowed non-unanimous jury verdicts. In 1972, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld these types of verdicts in Apodaca v. Oregon (406 U.S. 404) (1972).
In 2020, the Court overturned Apodaca with Ramos v. Louisiana (140 U.S. 1390). The Court reasoned that a deeper historical examination of the criminal justice system revealed an intentional bias against some jurors. The non-unanimous verdict helped ensure guilty verdicts for African Americans by eliminating one or two African American "not-guilty" votes (Justice Kavanaugh concurrence at 1418).
Has Trump posted yet that this is radical woke nonsense and the pointless shooting of animals for training purposes will continue regardless of the fact that better training methods are available? You know he's going to.
Why wouldn't a future field medic be able to do time in emergency rooms where they are almost certain to see a variety of injuries that would compare to many types of battlefield injuries?
Honest question, having never been on a jury, do they really have to give an explanation at all? I thought the foreman just came out and gave the judge a note saying guilty or not guilty for each charge.
I wish I had enough money to start a nationwide all-media ad campaign explaining jury nullification and telling people that we are not powerless. Not saying that this is jury nullification. It seems the actions did not fit the crime he was accused of. But I think more people need to understand that they are not obligated to convict just because the judge tells them that they are. The whole point of having a trial by a jury of your peers is so that they can block enforcement of unjust laws.
So you scream a the other kid's parent, or maybe dunk them if they won't reprimand their own kid. At least they're an adult. You don't assault and injure a 6-year-old.
