A fake video released alongside other files in Jeffrey Epstein's case appears to show Epstein attempting suicide on the last night of his life in his prison cell

Upon closer examination, the video appears to be an animation

The Bureau of Prisons report about Epstein's suicide states that no footage exists of Epstein in the hours leading up to his death

I think things like this or like the potentially fake Epstein to Nassur letter are attempts to discredit the files so when there is hard proof that Trump is guilty, they can say, no…look at the other bogus files. You can’t believe it all.

Someone will need to comb through every single document to verify the source. I’m not even sure you will be able to trust that since the Trump team has unrestricted private access to these files. I 100% believe they would alter original documents as well.

The Biden team really fucked up by dealing with this during their term.

One wonders how and why a faked animation depicting a suicide attempt is in the government-held files to begin with. It's not like just any fan can submit personal art to a set of state-held criminal and civil documentation, nor were any civilians involved anyway because he died in custody: everyone from the snoozy guards all the way to Bill Barr was employed by or representing the government at some level.

Keeping in mind that the DoJ/BoP already have (or don't have, depending on the current narrative) whatever genuine film the jail cameras actually produced, and that this animation also diverges from the known facts of the death, it's unlikely to be an investigative recreation:

While the video appeared to show the man trying to hang himself, it did not depict the manner in which Epstein was later found, as specified by a Bureau of Prisons report on the prison’s procedural failings that night, released in June 2023 after a lengthy internal investigation.

Considering the fairly limited group of non-civilians that can have their material end up in this tranche of government evidence, its presence there at all really begs the question of what purpose an "alternate scenario" animation of Epstein's death serves, and who would have created it (or had it made for them) to be added to their files on his death in custody.

Epstein is alive and in one of the turnips properties? At this point I'd not be surprised lol

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he had been smuggled out of the states and back to Israel. There is a long history of Israel protecting Jewish pedophiles and there has been a lot of claims from various people over the years that Epstein worked either for or with Mossad.

[–] SupraMario@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Yep, I found that out first hand. Dude at my college a bunch of people found out he was a pedo, and when they did dude moved to Israel. Was fucking weird

The incompetence of the coverup is staggering, Americans should be rioting

[–] tacosanonymous@mander.xyz 31 points 1 day ago

I can’t riot by myself.

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 24 points 1 day ago

I think they're just mocking at this point... like can they really be this fucking incompetent? Really?

"We demand better coverups!!"

(putting on serious face): yeah, no, I do get it. And it all stopped being funny a long time ago anyhow.

From the government that got away with the MLK & JFK assassination comes;

Epstein's: been Iced.

Critics say:

It's at least as good as Star Wars IX

He can't keep getting away with this

And

Come on now...

the 2025 sequel remastered fully in CG, watch it like it never occurred before.

I think that this is going exactly as intended. They've flooded the media and internet with documents that have been redacted to a ridiculous extent and inserted a bunch of irrelevant stuff made to look incriminating for political enemies, and a few things like this that are obviously fake. Even if the next administration decides to release everything unredacted, there is so much trash mixed in now, that it will take a decade to separate the real stuff from the trash.
