…getting ready for the impact. And I don't know if I can do it…

Ah ok. Microsoft and their naming things… But interesting to know :)

It's rare that I find fellow BC devs in the wild.

Sure, but a mindset change has to start somewhere. A wild thought, but maybe they'll invest time, if only a little, in the other side and slowly but surely realize how screwed up they used to think?

Internally Excel saves it in English (or some internal code) and translates it when opened.

My company switched from Excel-Interops, where you had to send the German function name to Excel. Now we write .xlsx files directly and have to send the English function name. But when opened it displays all functions in German (or whatever localization Excel is set to).

While I somewhat agree, there are things even the best spam filters can't filter and Zero-Day-CVEs that Sys-Admins can't fix.

On the other hand, the company should be confident in their backups, which in most cases should allow for a continuation of their activities.

Interesting idea. I'll try it tomorrow.

I hate being halfway to work in the morning and having to go back because I couldn't remember shutting my apartment door.

It drives me absolutely insane.

The Oklahoma DLC for American Truck Simulator by SCS was just released, accompanied by a trucking event. The event concludes on the 1st of October.

I was quite surprised to have found a sudden unknown discord server icon in my sidebar, and was even more surprised to find out the reason.

Easter Egg?I'm retty sure it was in Vernal

Right between Riga and Pärnu

Hi! Welcome to c/trucksim!

As of now, this place is a bit barren, but maybe others will find their way here.

Side note: The header and the icon are debatable. I don't mind hearing suggestions.

I mainly enjoy SCS's Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, though I wouldn't mind seeing others here, such as Mudrunner or Snowrunner.
