Well that’s great to hear for the conservation efforts, even if locals are mainly in it for tourism money. I definitely plan on visiting Brazil someday to experience its beautiful biodiversity and help support nature tourism to these vulnerable areas.

A pic of the red-tailed Amazon parrot, from the Full Report article. :)

I would’ve said the tanning obsession, for health reasons, but that’s changed over the years.

Same, but I was born in the U.S. to parents who legally immigrated. I know we’re not being targeted right now, but I just worry about the possibility of going to war with China in the future. There were Japanese internment camps after all.

Honestly it’s way catchier than 50501 lol. Gets right down to the essence of what America is.

Geez, going to town on that ear lol

Sources: Raiders minority owner Tom Brady recently hosted Rams QB Matthew Stafford at his home in Montana, where they spent time together and went skiing. Brady has been actively trying to convince Stafford to join the Raiders, and discussions are ongoing.Several teams are interested in Stafford if the Rams decide to move him, with Las Vegas believed to be the most aggressive suitor.

when I happened to glance up at my TV and see the reflection of a shadowy figure behind me.

The ramen joint was Karashibi Kikanbo in Tokyo, known for their signature spicy miso ramen. It goes up to "devil level." I picked the level under that, which was perfectly enjoyable (well, for a spice lover).

It was funny looking around and seeing that most Japanese people's bowls weren't anywhere near this red. The lady next to me kept saying karai! Which is like, so spicy! Lol.

Cover of "There She Goes" by The La's. Recorded for the soundtrack of So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993) starring Mike Myers.

I'm a fan of The Boo Radleys and didn't know they covered this (just watched the movie). I like it better than the original lol they picked up the tempo and it sounds less polished. :)

A string of recent killings across the United States have been tied to a fringe online group described as a “death cult.” The complex web of violence includes a samurai sword attack in Vallejo, the stabbing of a landlord and a deadly shootout near the Canadian border.

Many of the people linked to the violence are connected to a fringe online community known as the “Zizians,” the investigation found. The group is a radical offshoot of the Rationalism movement, focusing on matters such as veganism and artificial intelligence destroying humanity. The group is apparently named after a person known as “Ziz,” whom Open Vallejo identified as a former tenant on Lind’s Vallejo property.

Saltwater corrodes firefighting equipment and may harm ecosystems, especially those like the chaparral shrublands around Los Angeles that aren’t normally exposed to seawater. Gardeners know that small amounts of salt – added, say, as fertilizer – does not harm plants, but excessive salts can stress and kill plants.
