Same people buying this are the same fools claiming the government are tracking everyone's phones

[–] Mike_Hunt@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 month ago

it's overrated anyway, it's just a big clock on top of a building.

Totally unaware this was a thing.

31 here, pretty interesting. I'm from the UK, I don't know if that changes anything.

i feel like a long one could be a decent toilet unblocker

It's that same the other way round, dogs to an extent can understand, but a whale doesn't know we call it a whale.

You have the sort of OT fans which are like level 5 Simpsons fans who only consume seasons 1–9 and everything else is inferior (joking). Then you have people like to go on into further in seasons like 15 etc (Prequels) and then you have everything after that which some people obviously still enjoy the show or are coming back after so many years because it was getting some praise again.

I know you might be able to apply this to other fan bases, but this one just seemed closer.

I personally dip in and out, there have been some decent ones lately.

I’m aware this is me screaming into a void, they have made it aware that they supposedly don’t listen to the online fanbase (I don’t believe it but hey ho) so the chances of anyone from WWE seeing a lemmy post is almost impossible.

A couple of years ago many of the IWC (including myself) joked about how the first international wrestlemania would be in Saudi and yesterday that became a reality, TKO is taking this product and turning it into to something unrecognisable. I mean slim Jim tables and ladders, logos all over the ring, the prime stand, the promotional entrances and then the spit in the face to American fans is the ESPN PLE move. There are so many places they could have done the first international WM, In my biased opinion Wembley would have been great, one of the biggest in the world or even places like France, the international crowds have shown they love live shows there.

It’s all just crap, raw and smackdown is just ads that are interrupted with wrestling, even with the ability to skip forward I still don’t want to finish the shows because it’s the same booking every week and certain people not being used for weeks on end despite being champions or being over with the crowd. You can’t even say they’re throwing shit into a fan and see where it lands because that would imply there would be something different every week. Yeah, AJ Lee returned and teaming her with punk against Seth and Becky could be fun, but you can’t have a return every week. Don't get me started on John Cena's heel turn, what a waste.

Also Using Naomi and jimmy's pregnancy to promote Steph's podcast? Like really? That is where we are at?

I got back into wrestling at clash at the castle wales, and it was so great to see the product out so itself time after time, but now it’s just about the viral moments, they’re trying to appeal to a crowd that doesn’t watch their product.

I won’t comment on the wrestling as I’m fully aware I would never last in the ring but it would be nice if certain wrestlers could try something different and mix it up.

I’m fully aware as well that me not watching anymore won’t hurt the product but there is no point in me watching if I can’t enjoy it.

I was watching a video about a painting and the commentary mentioned how it looks at you and most people in the comments mentioned the same thing but to me, it was like she was looking behind me (this is going somewhere) commonly I don't make much eye contact so to get around this I look at the space between the eyes of whoever I'm talking to with occasional looking at the eyes quickly, is this noticeable on their end? Because when I looked at the painting in the eyes, she was looking at me as well, and it felt like a massive difference.

The painting in question for anyone interested.

I was reading a post about aliens and almost half of the comments were just millennials saying "haha i want to die anyway so hurry up", it's not even depressing or funny because It's just so overdone on every platform.

I get that things aren't great at the moment, but it just makes us look weak as a generation IMO, I know it's meant to be a joke, but it wasn't funny 10 years ago.

I always thought that was going to be the plan, I feel like it would have had more of an impact. No doubt in season 2 unreal they are probably going to frame it as it wasn't some big pivot, but it certainly feels that way and when brock came back (not a fan).
