The putty should be thermal already, which will help cool your laptop as it gets hotter. If this doesn't work, run the laptop under cold water. The plumbers putty will then be in its native environment.

I love Doomsday, and used to map for it. Except I never used the 3d models or high res textures. I loved the look of the original game + the new lighting and texture filtering.
I don't use it too much these days, instead opting for other ports (K8Vavoom and Doom Retro), but I will occasionally fire it up.
