Other way round. The nickname/insult was saying Germans are warlike barbarians like Atila the Hun and the rest of the the Huns.

You might want to look at Wittgenstein.

In his early work he went hard on this approach, and insisted that "hey philosophy is dumb", just agree on the definitions and then chase through the implications.

In his later work he realised that this is impossible. Words have contextual meaning that is revealed by their usage and you can't nail down full and complete definitions in advance.

What you're talking about absolutely can and will never work. We have tried it and seen it fail.

Yeah it's super obvious that he's a product manager from the quotes.

the executive said. "The skill in and of itself is like, how do I innovate? How do I go build something that's interesting for my end users to use?"

This is the path for promotion for product managers. Create new interesting products and move on before they fail. And yeah, if you really don't care about failing LLMs can maybe help speed up prototyping here.

However, what Aws actually tries to sell to users is rock solid reliability and high up time. If you start asking "how do I go build something that's even more reliable?" It's incredibly clear that LLMs are not the answer.

It's going to be so much worse than pasting ads if it ever actually works.

Rewriting the search results with LLMs let's you seamlessly mix the adverts into the text people are trying to read... That's why I need to sip a refreshing glass of coke zero(TM) when I'm contemplating the collapse of the internet into pure advertising drivel.

The way these big firms work is they make a bunch of almost contradictory arguments and you have to show they're all false in order to win the law suit.

So it'll look like:

  1. I didn't do it.
  2. Even if I did do it you can't prove it was me.
  3. Even if you can prove it was me I wouldn't be liable.
  4. Even if I was liable this has to be settled by arbitration.

So you have to get through arguments 4 and 3 first, to show that it's worth the court trying to find out what happened. Then they'll fight you tooth and nail on points 1 and 2 later.

No. 1011001110001111... (One 1, one 0, two 1s, two zeros....) Doesn't contain repeating patterns. It also doesn't contain any patterns with '2' in it.

But pi is believed to be normal. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normal_number

So it should contain all finite patterns an infinite number of times.

It also makes the existing voter suppression much more effective.

"Oh sorry, none of the black districts have enough staff to run all the polling stations. I guess you'll have to travel an hour and then queue outdoors for four hours if you want to vote.

Yes, it is illegal for anyone to bring you water, we don't want them to influence your vote, do we?"

It's all just the new testament. Before you fuck with poor people and nail them to a cross, make sure they aren't just slumming it, and actually have a very powerful father.

That's not how it works.

Parties are at the national level, and form alliances/blocks at the international level in order to get things done. These blocks shift and there is no guarantee that one party will continue to vote with a particular block.

Pick a country. Generally, the political parties in that country will stand for local elections, national elections, and EU elections. At that point you can ask what their politics are. But EU wide parties aren't a thing.

Good luck suing a cop. The courts have consistently ruled that they can basically do what they like and you can't sue them for shit.

Great that'll go really well with teams, teams classic, and teams work and school.

Something I've just realised going into the office is how much more unproductive I make everyone else.

If I'm not working at home, everyone else is free to keep working. But if I'm not working in the office I'm going to drag everyone in my team down to my level.
