Room temperature is the temperature range that my medications say they should be stored at. I know it’s written down in the little booklets that come with them but I’m not gonna go find them rn

I keep the temp at 69F in winter and 76F in summer

Tenna emotes when

Mother, said a small tomato caterpillar to a wasp,
why are you kissing me so hard on my back?
You’ll see, said the industrious wasp, deftly inserting
a package of her eggs under the small caterpillar’s skin.
Every day the small caterpillar ate and ate the delicious
tomato leaves. I am surely getting larger, it said to itself.
This was a sad miscalculation. The ravenous hatched
wasp worms were getting larger. O world, the small
caterpillar said, you were so beautiful. I am only a small
tomato caterpillar, made to eat the good tomato leaves.
Now I am so tired. And I am getting even smaller. Nature
smiled. Never mind, dear, she said. You are a lovely link
in the great chain of being. Think how lucky it is to be born.

Oh hey I saw something about this recently. I read the medicine subreddit cuz I’m a weirdo. Dunno if this will be helpful, but here’s what I saw one doctor type person post:

Have them toss out half a bottle of afrin and mix with saline, use that for a week, then toss out half again and dilute again with saline, use for a week, continue diluting until they feel ready to go off. Sometimes a short oral pred burst is needed too unfortunately

It’s good to be averse to cruelty, yeah. Don’t let anyone tell you that you should try to lose that part of yourself.

When I think of what I want to happen to people who have done terrible things, I think the most satisfying thing to imagine is a future in which they are denied ever having any power over others. Not a future in which they’re tortured or suffering or anything like that.

Bearsite seems very energetic this weekend. Maybe we can channel that energy into something helpful?

I really like this article!

Secondly, unitary theory redefined the terms of gender oppression in a way that places the ultimate blame on the bourgeoisie (a group that I, in my entry-level research job, definitely do not belong to, with none of the grey area associated with my maleness). I now understand the ways in which working-class men benefit from oppressing women as analogous to the ways in which scabs benefit from strikebreaking. The gains are undoubtedly real on an individual level but are not representative of workers’ ultimate class interest in either scenario. This allows for meaningful solidarity across gender lines.
