I saw the link before the comment and wondered what an "ovement" was.

A colleague of mine used to work quite high up in UK Government, achieved all she wanted to, and came to our team. Absolute golden woman, genuinely lovely. She was from Glasgow originally but spent most of her time in London, poor soul.

When she was in "professional mode" - she had a voice that I could fall in love with. A beautifully smooth tone and a lovely rhythm, confident but gentle, in a nice heart of England accent.

As soon as she came out of a meeting or put the phone down though, she threw the voice out of the window and it was "fuck off you pure cunt" or "get tae fuck you fuckin roaster" or "no mate you can pure fuck all of the way off" in the thickest, harshest of Glaswegian tones.

Absolute gem. No ego, you knew where you stood, and it was highly entertaining.

I got the whole "let him past by a nosecone, then challenge for the corner" as that's just standard Max.

I don't get the whole straightlining the corner when George was on his outside. It was all very Schumacher at Jerez in 97. I'm not Max's biggest fan and I do enjoy watching him race, but that should have been a bigger sanction than a ten second penalty.

Not to give it the whole "if I was the steward" spiel, but I would have given ten or eleven penalty points for that as a warning that another bit of shithousery would royally fuck his season.

Not going to lie, I miss this prompt. It was a "right fuck yes, let's get this 12 hours over and done with" glimpse of hope and prosperity.

Happy pride to anyone who feels involved in it.

I was golden. I even had the Bellsprout ready to go. The targetted levelling of that and the Pikachu made short work of Misty.

I'm not a Pokémon expert - my introduction was Pokémon Go - and I've soon learned that type effectiveness outweighs brute force and ignorance!

Thank you 😊

For the modern effect, get a foldable or clamshell phone and flick it closed with some major sass.

It's the best thing about having a foldable.

It's something of a necessity in the UK. A lot of high streets in town centres have on-street parking which are regulated just by the sizes of the vehicles currently there - there rarely any defined parking spaces on the roadside. Parallel parking is an essential skill to be able to park on the roadside in most major towns.

That, or there's outdoor car parks or multi-storey car parks at shopping centres or large event venues for those who prefer to find a marked-out space to drive into.

That said, it's nothing that can't be practised with two cones and a plank of wood in a clearing somewhere, if you're so inclined.

That is awesome! I love it when dogs "get it" when you've been trying to tell them what's best for them. My dog loves to be lazy and sit in the sun in the garden, and it takes a lot to fire him up for a walk. When he does get back though, he is absolutely knackered and it's lovely feeling him lie down on my feet to sleep.

Scott sounds like a cracking boi. Thank you for sharing.

I think that is the best thing - whether it's a spouse, kids, or a pet - having someone genuinely excited to see you come home can make you forget most of life's troubles for a short time.

In terms of dogs, it's great. Our one has a special tail wag for when he's happy to see us, it's like a circular motion much like Tails from Sonic 2 does when he's running at pace - different from his usual happy or excited wag, and unique to being happy to see someone.

Scott sounds awesome though. Care to share another cool memory with us?
