Jeez, the reminds me of the stickers on the Sam and Max box, proclaiming it to be the "full talkie" edition. Amazing.

Ah fair enough. My UV-5RH has the ATC group of frequencies (at least the UK ones) and even though you don't get the local ATC chatter, you get the responses from the aircraft.

I don't live too far from the coast but I haven't played with the marine frequencies or channels yet.

Not sure where you live (specifically, how close you are to an airport) but a rug laid out on the garden; a tablet with FlightRadar24 open; and the radio tuned to your local airport approach frequency makes for a good waste of an hour or two.

Depends what legal jurisdiction you live in but generally you're alright unless the transmission isn't specifically for you and is encrypted; or you start to interfere with the licensed frequencies.

I mean, I'm not Rooney's biggest fan here but he's not wrong.

It'll absolutely suck for a few years while the policy gets ironed out and applied consistently, and I'm sure it'll cause problems when someone gets docked three points for a supporter racism infraction, and lose the title by two points.

I don't think the arseholes who spout this nonsense really care about personal consequences - they made their decision to open their trap and shout bollocks - but with the tribalism that football attracts with it, maybe seeing actual physical and financial consequences for their club will shut them the fuck up...

...at least until they leave the stadium.

I do quite like the self-awareness of Bubsy 3D being absolute donkey tonk. The redrawn sprites in 3D looks cool, let's see if they learn the lessons from thirty-ish years ago.

Yeah, I went to a short notice concert in Laaaahndan last year when hotel prices were ludicrous. A same day domestic flight cost fifty notes .

I boarded with no luggage - just my watch, phone, wallet, and a phone charger - expected the bare minimum and wasn't disappointed. Like Ronseal, it did exactly what it said on the tin.

Ryanair is like the single rider queue for rides.

They're handy if you need to go somewhere fast and cheap, but asking any more of them is just going to lead to frustrating and lots of extra fees.

At this point, their reputation is so well-publicised (and even celebrated) that nobody really has any real right to moan once they've actively selected them as a carrier.

no, because line needs to go up

Seriously though, I agree with you. It's just so wasteful. It's really disheartening to try and do my eco friendly bit to reduce waste (particularly of power) and then data centres just piss away the ground we've collectively made.

I thought it was the bastard offspring of Duke and Guile for a moment there.

I still think of the National Enquirer ripoff that was included in the Zak McKraken box. Young me didn't realise it was a hint book masquerading as a faux-gossip rag.

The trinkets and inclusions in big box games were cool, whether they were required (Lenslok, codewheels etc) or otherwise.

It's been a while since I played, I only get involved in the live events these days.

I don't think there are classes in Battle Royale, but Save the World had different "classes" in the loosest sense.

Link handling (feddit.uk)

Any chance the way in which links are handled could be amended? I've not seen the Summit design docs but it appears as though when a user clicks a link, a dialog box appears and the app tries to preview the link, before the user can continue onwards.

In this instance, it would appear that the preview call has failed in some fashion, and does not allow the user to proceed with either copying or opening the link - both buttons are unresponsive.

Any chance the previewing can be interrupted with a "Open Anyway" or "Force Open" button, with perhaps a first-time-only warning stating that only trusted links should be blindly opened?

Cheers!

So..

...even though the battery light was a bright red, I saved the game and it crashed. Now the save is predictably in a broken format and can't be read (at least without extra hardware).

I was rather enjoying my 10hr game, just before the SS Anne and grinding my 'karp to a Gyarados, with a recently evolved Sandslash.

I can see that there are save editors for use, but does anyone know if there are save builders - that put you in a particular location at a particular level with progression flags automatically set to your point in the story?

I can't say I'm big in to Pokémon lore - my introduction to the series was with Go - so some of the intricacies are beyond me but I'll faff with editors if I need to and import them into an Android emulator if it comes to that.

Thanks in advance!
