That's totally false.

One can write using the generic masculine form without making a political statement.

This is not even close to not acknowledge there is non-men in this world.

What you are putting forward is absurd. No one is saying that only men exist anywhere in here.

After reading this, in particular the "The Facts" section, my understanding is: he got pulled into making a political statement about gender and he didn't want to get involved with that.

Yet again, that "crowd" didn't like Ladybird's refusal to play, therefore that "crowd" does what they're known best doing: cry high and loud on the internet playing the victim.

In a sense, that "crowd" shoved their political agenda down his throat, and that's the only thing I personally find reprehensible here.

My feelings on this are conflicted. I’m happy to add a tool that helps people. But I feel like our hand was forced in a weird way.

Oh really? You won't tell us that you're not happy about the free marketing/traffic...

I use the lynx browser sometimes, for hacker news, some blogs that I follow, or just for a quick browse to find an answer.

The fact that more and more websites need to use this kind of protection is saddening me, since lynx doesn't support JavaScript.

That's just another reason why I fucking hate AI.

I don't hate it, I /fucking/ hate AI.

Ironically, this text seems to be written by an A.I.

Check the quotes ' vs the curved ’ the AI are using.

The multiple long dash... And the lack of substance of the whole text....

Apparently, throwing more data at it will not help much from now on... But anyway what they're saying, I can't trust the snake oil seller, he is suspicious...

Andrew Zig Roadmap 2026.

It's a 2h talk with code / demo. A lot about the new Io interface.

Without this case, Apple could get away with behavior in the US that is already outlawed in the European Union.

United Monopolies of America, hell yeah! Living the dream baby!

Yes, we are going back to the mainframe era. It started gradually with "the cloud".

I remember the first days of "the cloud", when people were not keen to give their data to other companies: "we aren't going to put all our data on the internet!". Yet, here we are.

Today, when I bring slightly the idea we could host our operations, I am seen like the crazy one.

Slowly but surely, everything is being locked down in the hands of a few.

The costs are raising, our freedom is diminished, and our privacy is gone.

Linux is like the only bastion remaining. I hope we all take care of this one!

They know. Microsoft is now a service company. Windows upgrades are free. Do you remember when Microsoft said that windows 10 is the last windows?

Now the upgrade to 11 is free, Microsoft is a service company... Windows is only a platform to sell you an office 365 subscription, copilot bullshit and grabbing your information.

They know the Windows days are numbered, and they are going to extract the most juice out of it until it dies.

In their head, the only OS you'll need in the future is a browser, until then, tough luck peasants.

That sounds fucking dangerous... You really should consult a HUMAN expert about your problem, not an algorithm made to please the interlocutor...
