I use RiMusic which is Google Music without the adds. You can get it via Fdroid with the IzzyOnDroid repos added. There is also Spotube for all platforms, also available on Fdroid. I haven't had time to try this one out.

Theaters are a dying business. Wait until the largest theater conglomerate in the world has its notes come due in 2026, and yes, it is in debt for millions. Analyst predict if it declares bankruptcy it will be forced to close over 150+ theaters in the US alone.

It is probably because they are creating their own Linux FireTV OS, moving off Android. Amazon and Google have always been at odds. It is the reason Amazon created their crappy App Store, because Google would not allow their app in their store. I think Amazon is further distancing itself from Google.
I have a Pixel 4a5G and it is still going strong with CalyxOS. In fact, they are about to release Android 15 for this device, which lost all its support from Google at 14. Using one of these open source, pro-privacy alternative OS's is the only true way to degoogle your phone, so I would suggest buying a new or used unlocked Pixel phone. I will never go back to running on pure Google again.

Exactly. That is my dilemma. I run CalyxOS, de-googled, but unfortunately pixels are the only phone supported in the US. I will be getting the 9a once it goes on sale.
