Maybe the response teams would be more organized if there hadn't been a coup by the orange turd? Or do these fundamental issues stem from before the Team America said "Fuck Yeah!"?

Lots of people use it, I recommend they try ifconfig.co - cleaner curl output.

What's wrong with KDE? 😅

One of the reasons I prefer Nextcloud is it makes a lot of this easier. Nextcloud Notes is simple MD file and subfolder structure. Nothing special, no special clients needed. They have a droid client, the web version works from desktop, but you can also just sync the folder to a device and open them with anything.

The proprietary format of Obsidian and others like Joplin was too abrasive across clients for me and too locked in to their format. I prefer just using MD because I can edit if with whatever.

From 2006 onward I was a Gnome 2 fanboy and you could not convince me to use KDE.

Fast forward to Gnome Shell, and KDE Plasma; You couldn't get me to touch Gnome. I love love love Plasma so much.

I can't wait for Light No Fire, looks like it will be amazingly fun.

Uh, false. So called "serving" class jobs (wait staff, hotel maids and a few others) have a lower minimum wage in many of the provinces. In Quebec, their sales for their shifts are even tracked an proactively taxed for the expected tips they should receive. Which is why you get stink eye from servers in Quebec, they get taxed on expected tip output even if they don't get tipped.

I see they have removed the "service" terms held over from slave nomenclature and now call it a "minimum tipped wage".

Sure enough, no login wall from Debian desktop. This is some Android autodetection BS that is realizing I don't have a Google account on the device and trying to force a login.

Ugh, I neeeed a Linux phone.

Ill bet they detect the Voyager client or Android. Lemme try this from desktop too.

On a non-google android (Fairphone 6, e/OS) this is what I am forcibly redirected to every time.

Do you have google play services on your device?

You have to login to see their patents? Lol.

Pro Tip is not Pro Working.

Pro living wage, pro profit sharing, pro median income for CEOs.. These are pro-working views.

Tip economy is part of the very class war problem we find ourselves in.

So much food.

Title says it all. He sells Scrooge better than any other movie adaptation I've seen.

As the title says, I'm curious if they ever named or revisited this Human civilization in the later parts of the timeline in any way? It seems like too good of an opportunity to not revisit it at some point.

My searches did not reveal any answer, so thought I'd ask my fellow trek nerds.

This is the most unfiltered article I've read from The Atlantic... by the time I finished the second paragraph I had to re-read the title to understand how I got here.

Edit: To be clear, this has been revealed as satire, its just so close to reality one could be forgiven for confusing the two.

Just had this one shared with me directly on signal and could not find it in here, nor could I find a source. Too good not to share though. If someone knows the meme creator I'll update this with proper credit.

Riker came down on a whole other deck and wants answers.

Is the darkspace theme something that comes packaged with Lemmy or something the server admins are throwing together? I love where it's going but its in need of some love.. there's nothing to make the posts readable against the background.

Complaints are not intended here, I could likely help if someone points me to a place where I can make PRs.
