I'm guessing a lot of manufacturing plants who do annual fire fighting training on site would be contaminated?

Cool interactive map.

Twilight Imperium has a 180-240 min playing time, Jesus Christ!

lmao just setting up the initial board game and reading through the rules took an entire meet-up session back when we started playing. It's fairly daunting. Definitely had a bunch of rule violations the first round just figuring it out, improved from there haha. When you play with a full 6 players it can take longer than 4 hours to complete sometimes.

That was the case for me as well, it felt too complicated and slow. But when you understand the game and calculate into the future it gets very satisfying.

Makes sense, it's just hard to motivate myself on my own to learn.

Strategy I like:

Stratego. I just have a knack for this one and play it to death.

https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1917/stratego

Twilight Imperium with all the expansion packs. I have third edition, haven't tried fourth which came out 2017.

https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/12493/twilight-imperium-third-edition

Chinese Go.

Motherfuggen SCRABBLE!

Chance I like: Buckshot Roulette

Chance I dislike: slots and other trash tier gambling games designed to make you lose more than gain.

Dislike strategy: I can't get into Chess. I don't know if Aphantasia is hampering my abilities here. I didn't try long enough to really know yet so it's just more of a bad first impressions grudge. Maybe one day I'll meet a friend who likes Chess.

One ban is the notorious news sdf troll mod, edit: but otherwise they're needlessly inflammatory yeah I looked farther down.

If I meow back at my Siamese cats they'll get more intense and meow louder and louder as we go back and forth until it escalates to hideous yowling. I never win the decibel wars.

Life of Brian is arguably better for a ensmuggening Python based education.

We should work on the "accountable to the people" part first. I don't see that presumption reflected in reality where they are elected.

Today I'll go with The Murlocs - Undone and Unashamed.

https://youtu.be/cg8sjXcVsJQ

spoilerVerse 1]

Hey you wearing that baby Blue Jean jacket

Cussing at the public and the police, playing

chicken with the traffic

Strutting down the sidewalk, hopscotch, footpath,

with your wrist in a cast

Whiskey cigarette breath toothless sipping from his hip flask

[Chorus]

Undone and unashamed

Yeah are we that easily

Undone and unashamed

Keep building your barricades

[Verse 2]

Scrotum under the microscope, the prima donna snorting too much coke

Slow going with them thoughts, you sure got your point across

Shambolic you rust and corrode, never been one to do as your told

A Jimmy Dean breaking all the laws, rebel without a causе

[Chorus]

Undone and unashamed

Are wе that easily

Undone and unashamed

Are we that care free

Undone and unashamed

To delete our history

Undone and unashamed

Keep building your barricades

[Post-Chorus]

Rip it off like a bandaid when you gonna come out of your cave

How can I paraphrase it ? It’s overpassed, belated

Silence discomfiture, defeated, totally conquered

Put it on the backseat burner but don’t let it simmer too long

[Chorus]

Undone and unashamed

Yeah are we that easily

Undone and unashamed

Yeah are we that care free

Undone and unashamed

Yeah to delete our history

Undone and unashamed

Keep building your barricades

[Post-Chorus]

Rip it off like a bandaid when you gonna come out of your cave

How can I paraphrase it ? It’s overpassed, belated

Silence discomfiture, defeated, totally conquered

Put it on the backseat burner but don’t let it simmer too long

"This update is notable for having a high number of improvements to game performance and compatibility. Please read the change notes.

Additionally, for x86_64 devices (most desktop computers), this update requires a CPU which has SSE4.2 instructions, and it is likely that all future releases will also have this requirement. This feature is available in all modern CPUs released in 2011 or later. The few users who have hardware which doesn't support this instruction set can compile the emulator from source with the ENABLE_SSE42 CMake option disabled."

"Welcome back, ROM readers! Or maybe you should be welcoming me back? How does this work when I took an extra week off due to the flurry of gaming news last weekend? Maybe we each bust out a "nice to see you again" and get down to business.

This week's main focus is a bit different than usual — a personal reaction to a story I saw more than a week ago that'd been eating at me ever since. There's been a good bit of emulation news since last issue, but this felt like a more important topic to me than an extremely questionable PS3 Android emulator that somehow made its way onto the Play store (maybe I'll revisit this one next issue)."

cont. to read via link.

I'm absolutely not a pro at this. Post your plants!

OP pic is Chinese rhubarb to maybe replace my old plant, russet potatoes that were sprouting on the counter, wild strawberries native to AB I often see in our river valley, asparagus (cut down once already), chives. Further back box is next week's problem.

Everything under the evergreens (out of frame directly behind the fence) suffers and this old planter the old owners put in is rotting, so last year for this struggling stuff except the Honeyberry bush which I need to move anyways. It's big enough to survive in the lawn now. Rhubarb, saskatoons, raspberries don't do well in here. I'll salvage what I can. Smashy'n clover next year. Then new half buried kiddie pools with the bottoms cut out "planters" elsewhere away from those trees is the plan. Classy! I'll do neon green with the dinosaur pattern.

New cherry tree because my old one is about at the end of its expected lifespan and it's showing. I'll pretty up its space if it survives the winter.

Same deal here, but these are an experiment to see if these "CANADIAN HARDY -TAYLOR" Paw Paw (Michigan Banana is another name) trees from Quebec's Green Barn Nursery can really survive zone 3b. They'll get the burlap sacks over winter. Has anyone eaten these fruits before on Lemmy? Curious. Nobody has heard of them locally here I've talked to so far. https://www.greenbarnnursery.ca/products/paw-paw-taylor

The row will hopefully be purple and orange goth-ish Sunflowers. Or "Chocolate" I guess.

The grass mostly died beside the pine tree, so I'm trying clover. It uh, yeah it's thriving. I'll dig out more of the damned grass later. Very good result it'll be lower maintenance now.

Mechanic: [pounding her toolbox] MECHS, MECHS, MECHS!

Hello! Apologies for the late issue, but this story came together last minute, on account of capital-L Life, and also because the subject is developing fast. Hopefully it's worth the wait! I've got an exclusive interview for you on a shit-hot community project to resurrect a FromSoftware game that was criminally underappreciated in its day. I mean, that's practically all FromSoftware games, but this one was just born in the wrong time and place — I think it would be a substantial hit on Steam in the year 2025.

But I'm getting ahead of myself, while also being behind. So let's jump right into it! It's big stompy robot time."
