Half-asleep bears are wandering around Siberia because it's too hot to hibernate

Bears that are struggling to hibernate due to abnormally warm weather in Russia's Amur region are wandering around in a daze, having suppressed their metabolism in preparation for winter.

Fucking bleak bear-despair

Find someone who looks at you the way freed hostages look at al-Qassam fighters

You'd think by now the settlers driving the tanks would realize that if a giant red arrow suddenly appears in the air above the vehicle they should move asap but nope, they don't. They're probably taking pictures of it thinking to report it to MUFON

smh my head

The website it's from is subscribers-only, but becomes suddenly freely readable when you change your user agent to the same one as the google crawler.

And when you do that, you get the whole image; here it is with the background removed:

This is a fast food in Valence, France. That big "CHAMAS TACOS" sign is lit up at night. And recently the initial "C" failed (which is admittedly pretty funny).

So, as happens in a totally normal country, cops immediately went down there to order the sign be turned off or the fast food be closed

yea

I found this article about the initial breach of the Gaza fence which is very interesting.

Israel apparently had about ~100 positions with remote controlled sniper rifles and HD cameras. If something moves beyond the fence, an alert is raised to operators located elsewhere who can zoom in and decide to fire or not. The system also includes 22 additional HD cameras along the fence, which are also the main eyes of the colonizers beyond the fence.

Hamas managed to simultaneously disable those 100 sniper positions by launching ~150 drones. I'm guessing this is the videos we saw soon after the initial assault, where drones were dropping payloads on what looked like high tech watchtowers. Then once the rifles were disabled, they immediately shot down the 22 cameras.

This all happened so fast that the soldiers on watch with the equipment assumed it was a technical failure, and literally called tech support and started to wait for a tech chefs-kiss

Based on stuff like this and various comments from them in the past the lemmy.world admins I'm pretty sure wank themselves raw over becoming the new reddit

By which I mean, eventually having a corporate structure, obtaining funding from VCs, the whole disgusting thing
