When asked if discrimination existed in Idaho, conservative Sen. Dan Foreman said no.

Democratic candidate for House Seat A and member of the Nez Perce tribe Trish Carter-Goodheart said she pushed back on that idea when it was her turn to speak

[J]ust because someone hasn’t personally experienced discrimination, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Racism and discrimination are real issues here in Idaho, as anyone familiar with our state’s history knows,” the statement read. “I highlighted our weak hate crime laws and mentioned the presence of the Aryan Nations in northern Idaho as undeniable evidence of this reality.

That's when Sen. Foreman lost all control. His words to me: "I'm sick and tired of this liberal bullshit! Why don't you go back to where you came from?!"

P1: There is no racism!

P2: Yes there is.. look at the facts.

P1: (Proceeds to spew racist crap and storm off.)

Proving her point with his actions.

How is this a better link? Its a different source but what makes the Guardian better?

Ground News lets you at least choose the outlet you read it from.

At least unlike most times this Guardian article is written by them and not just quoting the AP source like most other sites are doing.

("Original AP News Article - Better link than above)

The comments on here vs the comments on the cross-post really shows the diversity of the fediverse on different instances.

Touted as a greener alternative but according to study cited in article

Scientific studies have found firing wood pellets puts more carbon immediately into the atmosphere than coal. Pollution from biomass-based facilities is nearly three times higher than that of other energy sectors, according to a 2023 paper in the journal Renewable Energy.
