Is it only about protecting him or also avoiding him discussing unwanted topics with other inmates in that case? He’s still the recipient of privileged information…

What I don’t get is what’s the end game? Because this will likely affect only already law abiding citizens or those with limited technical knowledge as bad agents will simply generate certificates and encrypt however they see fit. It’s not like building an encrypted client is hard…

I’m convinced that we can address needs for changes while not being doomsday cultists either; I’m pretty much doing it as much as I can while not being a drama queen about it and generally shutting the fuck up.

But it doesn’t get me much attention which I guess is what the cultists are after.

Compared to the peaceful nations of China, Iran and Russia?

Giving any psychoactive substance to anyone and especially kids without a specific prescription from a licensed practician is absolutely insane.

Beside recreational drugs when an adult wishes to obviously.

There’s no local ordinance over the ocean? Here (Belgium) it’s mandatory for anything rented or commercially used.

Opt-out is still illegal in many cases… a lot must be opt-in based. Typically consent must be freely given.

That isn’t stopping executives from offshoring more and more functions… and yet, “you’re more creative in the same room”… yeah thought luck my devs are in fucking bengalore… 8000 km from our offices…

For me what drives me to Amazon is their logistics (1-2 days delivery, free delivery), their no-bullshit assurance and the gigantic inventory. 3rd can certainly be reached with a decentralised alternative. 2nd maybe even though rogue actors could hop instances and trust building is I guess challenging with an open model and 1st isn’t going to happen.

Our EV6 should be one of such newer models. We just did our first holiday trip with it from Belgium to Brittany. Some key points to note;

  • it’s 20 minutes up to 80% on fast chargers. The remaining 20% is an additional 20 minutes
  • sometimes there will be no free charger and other cars are NOT fast charging
  • while the range was quoted being 480km it’s closed to 320 with a vehicle full for a 2weeks trip with and additional car roof luggage
  • you also need charge at destination. Our last leg was on smaller roads with less chargers

In addition with 2 kids it makes sense anyway to pause for 30mins every 300km or so. For us ot was a pleasant experience all in all.

Was putting 10 hours a day in my work before all that. Still putting the same hours in. Have obviously less purchase power. I don’t see no free time in this… I even had to learn some crafts to survive the inflation so it’s even less “me time” than before…
