Thanks! The one good visit we had was on a weekday when school was in session. I was also thinking to get a used wagon to pull the toddler in.

I hate that shit. For our family we just don't comment on people's bodies in general.

We're pretty settled back into our routine now that my wife has been out of her partial hospitalization program. Thankfully the DBT she did there is actually helping and she's realizing her stress tolerance is lower than other people's and letting me help more. The almost 3 year old doesn't listen to her as much as me though and has much more frequent and intense tantrums. I hope that will decrease over time as she learns her mom isn't as volatile.

We tried to do the zoo yesterday. Overall we had a good time but it was a waste of money, barely saw any animals cause the toddler was lollygagging and ended up melting down from being tired. Had to carry her out of there kicking and screaming for a solid 10 minutes, always fun. Think we'll wait till they're both older before we do that again, we've been a few times and it usually goes like that. Plus I'm not the biggest fan of zoos anyway, at least ours does a lot of legit conservation work.

How much earlier are they going to bed? We wouldn't be surprised if our toddler drops her nap earlier than is typical.

I feel this. Our toddler does pretty good overall if she's naked and was starting to do ok with just training underwear but started refusing to wear them. Only wants diapers or naked. Usually after taking off her clothes and running around the house yelling "naked!" while laughing.

I worked with a guy who had a flag with the Arch logo and his Arch forums username on it hanging above his desk.

My wife & kid go through about a large jar of Vegenaise a week. It's gotten expensive so I tried making mayo using soy milk and it's just as good and very easy with an immersion blender. Several similar recipes online but I always omit any garlic etc.

I don't think the point is that swap is critical. Whether that is true will depend on your workload and hardware. But the point is it makes memory management better and more efficient. Whether you notice a difference in performance or not is again dependent on your workload & hardware. I personally see no reason to not dedicate a couple gigs to swap even with lots of memory on a personal system.
