Congrats to the EU. With the destabilization of one of it's largest allies it seems the most of the continent is uniting to make up the difference. Seems like Europe as a whole will dominate the next few decades

I think what truly did it in was having a black president. The casual racists got so mad that a black man was president they became hellbent on destroying the country.

It's quite sad.

Yep the learning curve from logging in to finding communities took about 45 minutes or so for me.

I can see that being a turn off for many users

Online dealers order to house?

Oh yeah green onions are a different story. They're easy.

I'm growing yellow and red onions, the typical bulbs.

I've been working on growing onions and they take forever. That garden space would have been better off growing something else

Award trophies maybe with no karma? The 1% top poster was always nice to earn on reddit in niche communities

You can subscribe to communities in other servers directly from 1 account. Only exception is if that server isn't federated

This is a lemm.ee account and I'm commenting here

If browsing all posts and if lemmy.world is "federated" with that server then yes.

But I don't think that's very likely.

The national forest is doing more controlled burns, but I've never seen it so hazy before in town. It is currently raining ash across the whole city.

I saw a combination of TPD and State Troopers clearing out the very obvious gambling hall on the corner of Lake Bradford and Renfroe Valley St. They had a truck and we're loading up the machines. Couldn't find anything on the news about it yet, but I'll keep an eye out. I'm surprised the police let it operate for as long as they did.

Unrelated but I also saw a city bus had rear ended someone in front of the J. Edwin Larson Building on E. Gaines. No one was hurt, kinda funny

Edit: News article for gambling bust

Does anyone know of any bluesky accounts that feature tallahassee news and communities?

I did a general search, but didn't find much.

Also any other alternative social media options for tallahassee would be cool if you know any.

What is your unconventional prep. Something that you think is uncommon or weird, but will always keep extras of?

Personally I've been really big on keeping canned pumpkin on hand. While it's not the most nutrient dense food around it has the most fiber out of any canned item I can find and adds a new taste to everything. Goes great in mashed potatoes and soup.

Hi everyone this is just a simple welcome post. The community rules are simple, keep it related to Tallahassee and be nice.

So far there are no plans for the community, but suggestions are welcome. I hope to run this page in an open door and welcoming manner.
