Love the creativity here. This is the kind of stuff I hope to see more of on lemmy

I was a fan of the version with the tricolor, but I think this interpretation actually makes me okay with the one they adopted

This concept actually makes me want to have AI take my job

My c++ is pretty rusty, but I hopped through the changelogs. I think this is the source for it here https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/tip/toolkit/components/antitracking/URLQueryStringStripper.cpp

If you want something like lock picking lawyer but longer, check out wristwatch revival

In a similar vein, I've been rewatching TNG and find myself thinking that they really should have put a cctv camera in engineering. Could have saved them a lot of trouble.

Linguistics. Did you know English and Bengali are related? They share an ancestor about 5000 years ago. Russian, Latin, Farsi, and Greek, and lots more are in that family too.

Do you know what languages are not related at all, absolutely 0% aside from borrowings, even though if you know a bit about em they seem like they should be? Japanese and Korean.

Just read The Dispossessed last month. It's a good one for sure 👍

What a dumpster fire. Meanwhile, I'm still getting alerts from my local fire department through twitter. Doesn't exactly make me feel safe.

Yup, exactly this for me too. Been done a thousand times before by companies like them. Plus the fact that the fediverse is not run by any company is just really nice - we don't need them.

Does anyone else have a bike that you look back more fondly on that it deserves? This was my first project bike. It was really beat up, and I made a lowball offer that the seller accepted. Oops, just bought a project!

Redid the fork seals, the whole braking system, chain and sprockets, tires... But there were still even more problems than I had time for (paint, rust, fuelling weirdness, rear shock issues). I always wish I still had it until I remember how much more work it needed.

Of course people still have to bike through this zone, it's just that for now they're on the street. I guess all the other roads in the area aren't enough for the businesses.

It was too nice out not to ride, I had no choice. Was worried about the chips, but fortunately I had a bungie net. Those things are great!

The Himatic G is actually pretty fun for a simple camera, and takes good photos too

Taken with a Kodak VR35 K12, and Ultramax 400

On a work trip for 3 days, and brought 2 cameras and 2 rolls, 1 color 1 b&w. Wasn't going to load them till after going through airport security. Except my "to dev" backlog isn't very organized... Fortunately there's a local camera shop that sells film not far from my hotel.

He's the sweetest cat (and converted me to a cat lover). Someone actually gave him up, but now he has a great home.

Took the 101 up to enjoy the scenery. Was a great ride, longest I've done so far. I'm already itching to do another!
