If you turn them upside-down you can use them to make stuff cold also.

People know you're full of shit and just an asshole

[–] black_flag@lemmy.dbzer0.com 16 points 4 days ago

Yeah that comment took a surprisingly dark turn. I expected it to be something about survivorship bias leading people to do more stupid shit because they've been so protected they haven't had to face danger, but like..."oh see what happens when we don't kill off those people"?? Wtf how do you get there

I would think putting /bin and /lib on the fastest thing possible would be nice 🤷

A lot of them will just come unbolted with a regular torx wrench, from what I hear.

I feel like I get it now. Of course it's bad that the us does this. It seemed so obvious I didn't think that would be the point

Honestly this comment is just so confusing and baffling I'm just dumbfounded. What on earth do you mean? The relationship between China and taiwan is nothing like the relationship between the US and Venezuela

Edit: even if it was...why would it just be presumed to be cool that China close the airspace around Taiwan? Wtf

This is about cookie banners, not paywalls.

No.

When I needed this I reached for whatever generic rtmp cameras were well rated. Blocked them from external access (including outgoing!) at the firewall level and used Zoneminder and some custom scripts to monitor.

You can also just toggle on a blocklist for that in ublock origin

I think it's also about cult mindsets. If a scientist says the earth is billions of years old that also means there's no heaven and the alienated existence under capitalism is all you get. There's a phrase I heard from religious-types: "would you rather this be the closest you get to heaven or hell?" They really see earth as hell and are only here to recruit and die.

An area's mesh network is a collaborative effort. You need to get together with others people and put some thought into your mesh. One more strategically placed node could help several people connect, who can come together to pool money and expertise to make the build less of a burden on everyone.

I'd like to have the storage local and connected to the box via wireguard, then have a public IP that's not my residential one I can seed on.

Thoughts on this?

Edit: captions on!

Like, I push a button or key combo and talk at my computer and it types what I talk.

If not, why?

I do not mind writing some code to get this working but my time is very limited right now.
