I would say there are levels to pirates. Not everyone here wants or needs to be a pirate 100% of the time. Sure, everyone could download all their music but why bother if you have a streaming service that you consider cheap and you prefer streaming over storage. Like anything, they're levels to it.

Finally. I've been more active over on .ml because of this. Glad you guys are reasonable and reversed the decision.

I do not trust Whatsapp to provide the security of a signal conversation. Who wants signal and WhatsApp to talk to each other ?

Unless it's limited by hardware this will be a main cause for jailbreaking your iPhone.

Consumers find a way to save money and are bad. Companies find a way and they act like heroes.

Security is definitely a legitimate argument for some companies. The average home network is nowhere near as secure as an enterprise network and BYOD is not nearly as secure as the systems setup and managed by your organization.

Edit: Everyone saying "use a VPN that's how you secure your home" needs to do more research. I have a comment below explaining how just using a VPN doesn't make you safe.

I'm tried of how terrible Gmail is. Id like an email client with folders or categories. If it can sort them automatically (like how Googles now defunct inbox app used to) that would be even better.

Edit: in a couple days or whenever the activity on this post slows down. I will update this post with a list of the most recommended email app.

The hacking community on Reddit is imo one of the most toxic communities. Nearly every question someone asks the top comment is someone talking shit about OP, insulting them, or just gatekeeping hacking in general. We were all new once, if someone asks a script kiddie question, then help them out and point them in the right direction.

I'm sure I'm wrong, but it's hard to imagine this being better quality than what we can do digitally these days.

I keep seeing everyone say their privacy is why they aren't going to use threads. I don't think that's entirely true. I think most of us here have a hatred so deep for meta that even if they made the greatest app on earth, we'd still not use it. So, if threads actually respected your privacy would you use it?

"Can reveal the face of God using VBA"

This one got me good. I became a VBA king being in one of those locked down environments.

Thanks for the clarification.

I use jerboa, liftoff, and connect. Connect is the only one that has this kind of tracking going on.

I'm sure that reddit realizes it but I'll share for all of you that don't. If CGPT fills reddit with it's own comments then future AI projects won't be able to use Reddit data to train on. An AI that trains on itself or other AI data will suffer what's known as model collapse. Basically if you don't have enough variability in the training data you create an unuseable model, that will happen as CGPT fills the internet more and more with it's content. Sadly if we don't solve this problem then we likely won't get past current gen AI in terms of capabilities and scale.

The first time I grabbed a 1080 265 and it was almost half the file size of a 264 I had and the quality was visually the same, I knew I could never go back.

Anyone else prefer an alternative app or front end for browsing f-droid ? I personally use Droid-ify for the more modern layout.
