inspiration taken from the 'Once and Future' comic series perhaps? pretty much this exact thing happens in it. it's quite short and finished, highly recommend it!

It's one thing to just use the software, it's another to open bug tickets that you expect the maintainer to prioritise. It's free software, the maintainer doesn't have to do anything for you. If they want tickets fixed with high priority, they should work something out with the maintainer.

Ok ok, let's assume they are right and legal magical words do exist. Why on earth would you write 'do not construe my words' on your magical piece of paper? Did they mean misconstrue? Is this some sort of copy pasta nobody reads?

This post is in part a response to an aspect of Nate’s post “Does Wayland really break everything?“, but also my reflection on discussing Wayland protocol additions, a unique pleasure that I have been involved with for the past months1.

Even the empire's uniforms were pretty obviously based on nazi uniforms, what makes you think the empire is supposed to represent communism?

X11 being reliable because Xorg devs aren't stupid

Not gonna disagree with the rest of what you said, but the Xorg devs and Wayland devs are mostly the same people

Christ. I didn't care too much about the gamers nexus video, but this sounds awful.

that's an argument to talk about electric cars at least some of the time, not to exclusively talk about them at the expense of any other transportation option. According to US government statistics, people in rural areas make up about 15% of the population, why is their situation dictating the national conversation around clean transportation?
