Another comment that’s helped me with a new perspective, thanks. The times I’ve worked with Romanian teams, they’ve been dedicated to our company/project.
foofiepie
Fair enough. I see your point. Apologies.
Makes sense. It’s actually quite cool. Our internet signals. Encoded in (I’m guessing) light waves instead of radio waves, with similar multiplexing/ways of maximising signal bandwidth?
I’m staggered by how small these are and how flexible they are.
Seriously? I’ve upped both quality and throughput by specifically hiring Romanian dev teams. They’re (in my limited sample size, admittedly) excellent.
We didn’t cheap out at as low as 50% though.
Is there an ELI5 for fiber optic questions? Am interested in how they’re made, properties of different types, and how signals are sent/repeated etc.
Huh. TIL. Thanks.
the belief that toilets in Australia flush in reverse
Isn’t this actually true? I remember reading that water circles the drain (and so toilet water will also circle) in the opposite direction from the Northern hemisphere.
Oh subtle. Nice.
100001111 = maybe not
lol ok. Have a nice day.
Piggybacking onto this one, but with a specific ask: same as OP but:
Genuine ask. Appreciate any advice.
