Do you seriously think that for example the USAs democracy represents the will of the people? Democratic representation does not mean capitalistic multi party system that’s not how you measure democracy.

Bro what, if we can stop leftist infighting for one fucking minute that would be great. We all have 90% of the same goals so how about we work on that and not build artificial walls to those to the left of us. Also being pro western „democracy“ is cringe.

Ah yes let’s „be done“ with a whole group of people, that’s normal rhetoric 👍

Cringe article. While I agree that CEO pay is ridiculous, this is hardly a Mozilla only issue. And yes, Google is dominating tech, even paying Mozilla big sums. I just don’t get why the author is so pissed about their political budget. Guess what, people who fight for a free and open internet are usually leftists and leftist organizations. Shocking. Who could have known. I don’t even want to imagine how the author comes to the conclusion that this is some big conspiracy but I think we all know what political spectrum that guy belongs to.

No it is fair. Metros are actually completely filled many times per day. Cars almost never are.

Inside the Nevada team’s office, some employees celebrated canceling service appointments by putting their phones on mute and striking a metal xylophone, triggering applause from coworkers who sometimes stood on desks. The team often closed hundreds of cases a week and staffers were tracked on their average number of diverted appointments per day.

Haha that’s so insane

Most people come from Turkey or Morocco? They might come from there but most of the asylum seekers nationality is not Turkish or Moroccan. Most asylum seekers are from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq or poorer African nations. This changed year by year of course but that’s generally true. Also of course EU states have an obligation to respect human rights, it’s literally law in the European convention of human rights. A right implies an obligation by somebody else to honor that right. What does it matter if your home country is at war or not? If you can’t feed your family due to economic problems or climate change or whatever, it’s more than fair enough to get out of there.

Human rights? Lol I wish, frontex is just waiting to start shooting migrants at the borders

Ah yes the great source of the New York post. I don’t think you are being harmful on purpose but I do believe that by spreading shit like this you are harming trans people. There is no trans epidemic or social fad. That opinion is absolutely ridiculous. I have a close family member who is trans and the difficulty of even getting hormones is extreme. Multiple meetings with psychologists and endocrinologist, many exams and paperwork, not even mentioning the bureaucracy you have to deal with afterwards. And this is as an adult, transitioning as a minor is way way harder. No one just gets transitioned in an accident, and 99% don’t regret it. Now on the flip side 30-50% of trans kids want to commit suicide due to societal pressure and bullying. The only „cure“ for gender dysphoria is, shocking I know, transitioning. So when people say to protect trans kids, it’s literally protecting them from self harm or from getting attacked. Also, do you really think that more people identify as trans because it’s a „fad“ or maybe it’s because your can finally openly talk about it! It’s like saying that the rise of left handed people after them not being retrained in school anymore is a social fad. It’s a stupid opinion. Whenever you have more societal acceptance of something more people will feel safe coming out. I understand that some people are scared of their kids being transed by the woke liberal teachers but the same people also think that Obama turned the frogs gay.

This article has a lot of great points but I think one important point is missing: suburbs are just absolutely impossible to navigate for children. There aren’t even fucking sidewalks in many North American suburbs. Where exactly are kids gonna go to and play in these tightly zoned and controlled communities? There is no biking infrastructure, cars are becoming bigger and more dangerous. Boomers always say that kids don’t like to go outside and play anymore but miss that the outside has become hostile to kids. My mom used to play (field) hockey out on the street with her friends, which has become completely impossible now due to the volume of cars.

If you are from the EU: Sign it it’s free. If it gets enough signatures the organizers get to meet with European Commission representatives and a public hearing in parliament. Credit to Adam Something on YouTube for posting about this.
