Lots of features in it, but I don't trust random teams distributing apps on Telegram channels.

The idea the Graphene devs are toxic doesn't hold up to scrutiny. People just don't respond well to their critiques and think a media dogpile will be less energy.

This isn't even about competency really as the cost of AI is being artificially depressed through all of these businesses running at a loss. It might be insane to stick in a blender with US labor statistics. Hopefully not the kind the WH uses?

There are a lot of different things falling under the umbrella of AI. You're right to be skeptical of an algorithm's ability to estimate another algorithm's ability in practice. They're testing how well the buzzword tech can move the needle on numbers the fed obsesses over. Really pigeonholing the tech into profitability. Best uses of this tech will be in balancing electricity flows through the country, with inputs including population + industry usage, weather patterns & other renewable energy variables (these are very much a social good but you can already hear capital hissing at the thought). Humans already operate many cybernetic systems that turn on volition, with inputs adjusted to make them exploitative. Streamlining them is going to rip the balls right off for sure. As I often quote Michael Parenti by recently, "You're stupid if you think they're stupid," it goes nicely with "the purpose of a system is what it does."

I'm sure there is plenty of chaff to cut in finance and healthcare etcetera, in my heart I want to believe in a coming Burger Decimation, but US labor statistics are absolutely cooked. Having read practically nothing about the model they're using, I would appreciate if anyone can tell how accurate it is.

Yeah, it's something that made me think of the age of the operating system itself, since that's been a discussion recently with Motorola.

To get imaginative, in a mode pf production beyond capitalism, though, I think the device level age locking would be pretty sick. I get that a lot of people had what they consider helpful formative experiences on the internet, but hearing about them, I think they are just nostalgic and those experiences weren't as valuable as they imagined.

Many will disagree with me because they haven't considered this is the only way to let adults play counter-strike without the damn kids in the way.

Yeah, I think it is pretty enlightening that Westerners reply with jokes and GIFs when the subject shifts from wage and rent stabilization to land reform. I guess you haven't really got the marks 'o capital all over your body like you once thought.

Not beating the "talks like a pedophile" accusations by throwing the roleplay-speak into the pot. Do you have any substantive critiques or are you purely tone policing because you have nothing to add whatsoever? Which is, by the way, what I just directed back at you, tone policing, because you added absolutely nothing.

Do you seriously think that anybody is going to invade Japan? You're completely missing my point about the rail guns. They're not even going to play a part in war with China. Japan knows this

Is talking like a pedophile to me supposed to prove something?

Marxist perspective on AI. Quit smashing the printing presses for a second...

Statement issued by Hezbollah:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

“Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their vow, and some are still waiting; but they have never changed in the least.”

With utmost pride and honor, Hezbollah announces to the people of the resistance and to our Lebanese people the martyrdom of the great jihadi commander Haytham Ali Al-Tabtabai (Sayyed Abu Ali), who ascended as a martyr in sacrifice for Lebanon and its people following a treacherous “Israeli” attack on Haret Hreik area in Beirut’s southern suburb.

The great commander joined his martyred brothers after a long period of awaiting the meeting with Allah Almighty, following a life filled with jihad, sincerity, dedication, and steadfastness on the path of resistance. He spent his blessed life working tirelessly in confronting the “Israeli” enemy until his last moments. He knew no fatigue or hesitation in defending his land and people. He dedicated his life to the resistance since its inception and was among the leaders who laid its foundational structure, enabling it to remain strong, dignified, and capable of defending the homeland and achieving victories.

Allah bestowed upon him the lofty honor of martyrdom, and his great sacrifice will inspire his brothers in the resistance with renewed hope, determination, and strength to persist on this path. As he was in his life a source of strength and inspiration, his pure blood will empower the fighters to continue with steadfastness and courage to thwart all the schemes of the Zionist enemy and its sponsor, America.

We extend our condolences and congratulations to our master, the Imam of the Age [Imam Al-Mahdi] (may Allah hasten his reappearance), to his brothers fighters and fellow resistance fighters, to the steadfast supporters of the resistance, and to all free people in the world on the martyrdom of this great jihadi commander and his companions who were martyred alongside him. We also extend our condolences to their honorable families, asking Allah Almighty to grant them patience and comfort, and wishing the wounded a swift recovery.

Ukraine plans to effectively dismantle one of the main structures that has brought foreign volunteers into its ranks, the International Legion under the Ground Forces, according to sources, leaving legionnaires worried they will lose the unit's hard-won identity and be scattered into unfamiliar structures in a way they say could cost lives.

“Our biggest worry is just that we'll be moved around and units will be pulled apart, and we'll basically be funneled into where they feel like they need to put us in order to make this work,” a soldier who has fought with the Legion for a year and a half told the Kyiv Independent on condition of anonymity.

“This is (about a thousand soldiers) being moved into different areas, falling under their command, and with that kind of change will come mistakes. Mistakes that could have been prevented by just keeping the structure that we have now," he added.

The Ground Forces, which the Legion is subordinate to, has not responded to the Kyiv Independent’s request for reasons or more details about the expected structural change by publication time. The plan does not impact the other International Legion under the Defense Ministry’s military intelligence (HUR).

Founded in February 2022 at the request of President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Legion allowed foreigners to fight alongside the Ukrainian army, and has had both battlefield and political impact throughout the war.

The current plan involves the Legion’s three combat battalions being transferred separately to an assault regiment or brigade, an officer familiar with the matter told the Kyiv Independent on condition of anonymity. The officer, along with several legionnaires interviewed, said they are speaking out in an effort to preserve the Legion in its current form, arguing there is no need for a change.

It is unclear whether the assault regiment or brigade to which the legionnaires would be transferred will be under the command of Ground Forces or the newly created Assault Forces, according to the officer. The transfer is expected to be completed by the end of the year, the officer said, adding that the units would cease to exist under an independent umbrella of the Legion.
