Just today I saw someone crying about "tankies" "defacing" a fucking pixelated recreation of the nato flag. It was one or two people doing it AT THE MOST.

Most of hexbear doesn't give a shit about the canvas thing, I personally didn't even know it started until I saw the post pointing out the posters on .world or s.j.w or whatever identical lemmy instance it was. The main "tankie" instances don't think about the anti tankie comms unprompted. It's such a stupid display of "my team is better than your team."

Tired of these people tbh. They're so afraid of things they don't care enough to understand and lash out at anyone vaguely left of them. I already know and expect them to revoke their acknowledgement of queer people for any perceived slight against what they deem to be "acceptable leftism."

I fucking wish more people they label tankies were half as "authoritarian" as they claim, maybe then they'd be gagged enough to go away.

I think I understand where You're coming from, I just don't fully agree that there is no objective reality. Objective reality happens with or without me. If I were to die tomorrow, objective reality would continue to happen whether or not I'm there to experience it. If I were to become brain dead but my body continued to work, nerve endings and biological responses would continue to process reality as it happens to "me".

I do vibe more with the idea that something like consensus reality is bullshit however.

Admittedly I have a tenuous grasp on Soulism as an ideology so far, as my only real exposure to it has been through a very confrontational individual. I do feel like I agree with most of what I do understand of Soulism. The thing is I don't fully get the idea of denying what You call reality versus, for example, recognizing that certain things enforced by those in power and popular society are simply social constructs (i.e. the gender binary and racial science and relations) and as such may be, and should be, torn down or dismantled but do exist as an actual tangible threat to those who are marginalized by said social constructs.

Basically what i'm asking is: Is Your stance of "denying reality" a way to circumvent and fight back or even simply exist without acknowledging or giving power to (playing around as opposed to playing within the rules of) oppressive socially constructed systems?

I really really really dislike how fast so many people here are to discount their members and clamor for defederation. Queer solidarity, Trans solidarity, and Left solidarity is important. The people from hexbear aren't an "other" we're all in the same boat, it just happens that people from hexbear tend to be more jaded with the systems that a lot of us are slaves to in the west and in first world countries. Every single one of us is one little disillusionment away from holding the same or similar views as any person from hexbear, (I was already moving in that direction and have already made my own account there, though I started my lemmy usage here on Blahaj.)

Can they be a little overwhelming? Sure. But again, their users trend towards individuals fed up with the systems in place and are past the point of engaging in ways that look "respectable" or in their words, "liberal."
