I was talking to a friend there and he told me people in the suburbs are having trouble getting their lawns mowed now. So glad I got out of there.

Depends on what it is. If it's where I put something, something I need to get done, or what I went to the grocery store for, my memory is horrible. If it's a completely useless fact that will never come in handy, my memory is amazing.

We just moved to a new place that doesn't have fences, so we're working really hard on not running off at every opportunity. She's currently watching a squirrel across the street and not bolting, so we're making good progress.

Lucas Limon - I never understood how kids could eat. Even before they found lead in it.

Got to keep the TV boxes in case you ever move. TV moving boxes are ridiculously expensive.

About 15 years ago I did some work with a large international pharmaceutical company with over 2,000 of offices across the world. There was a laptop in an empty cubicle with signs like this on it. Apparently if it turned off their entire email system would go down.

Kristen Schaal - I absolutely hated her in 30 Rock and that just stuck with me. But I'm starting to come around since What We Do in the Shadows. I also never had a problem with her voice acting.

That is way too nicely built. For the true Gen-X feel you need cinderblocks and plywood.

The man smoked 3-4 packs of cigarettes a day, so that's all you could smell. Thankfully we didn't have to sleep there. My parents would have us stay at the motel/grocery/gas station/bar/restaurant/video store/boat rental/fish license place in town.

My wife was home sick one day and I started to feel sick so I left work early. For some reason I don't remember why I came in the house through the front door, when I normally came through the garage. Upon hearing the front door open at a random time of the day and being very protective of us especially when sick, my borde collie came running out of the bedroom growling like I had never heard her do before with teeth showing. The second she realized it was me she stopped and came over for pets.

That's good to know. She for sure has the husky undercoat. When she was a puppy she feels into the pool when it was 20° out. I took her to the vet to get her checked out and they told me she was just fine because of the undercoat.

The only reason we went so short is because we are moving to Connecticut and our new house is in a very wooded area. So ticks are a real threat. Since we don't have a lot of experience dealing with ticks we decided to cut it short so we can better see them.

Of course she is on Frontline but still didn't want her giving them a ride back into the house with all her fur. Once we get settled and are able to assess the property and hopefully get some tick defense stuff in place, we'll let it grow out again.

I'll be sure to keep an extra eye on her when she's outside. She's such a cold weather dog that she sits in the shade almost exclusively unless it's the dead of winter. But that is in Texas. I'm sure she's going to love Connecticut.

Also, since it always comes up, she was found on the streets so we don’t know her back story, but had her DNA tested. She is:

  • 39.3% Siberian Husky
  • 17.1% Cocker Spaniel
  • 15.2% Bichon Frise
  • 8.8% Pomeranian
  • 5.3% German Shepherd Dog
  • 4.7% Maltese
  • 9.6% Supermutt (with traces of Alaskan Malamute and Small Poodle)

The Husky and German Shepherd Dog come from Mom. Dad was everything else.

Just a little graphite and they are working like they're brand new again.

And I used gift cards I received for Christmas to buy it.

The road behind my house is lined with bradford pear trees. Their leaves are so big that my pool vacuum cannot suck them up. So once they start falling I need to go out every night and get out what I can with a net and a special leaf vacuum. We had strom come through this week and thankfully the winds knocked the remaining leaves out of the trees. It took an hour and a half but I got every last one out of my pool. Now I can relax until the spring when they sprout and drop their flowers.

As a life long Superman fan, who grew up on Christopher Reeve, I've been on the fence about this movie but I think this trailer has sold me.

spoilerFuck yeah, Krypto!

Giants 3 touchdowns, 1 failed PAT, 2 failed 2 point conversions

Washington 7 field goals

Seriously one of the strangest score summaries I've seen.

I think I'm ready to give vegan a try, but I'm struggling with breakfast ideas. Mostly I'd meal prep egg and bacon burritos or just have some toast with jam.

I used to be a cereal person but after having my gallbladder removed I developed an intolerance to lactose. And I haven't found any good alternatives for milk or cheese that I like, so I've basically cut them out of my diet. Plus most cereal is loaded with sugar, and...

I found out yesterday that I'm prediabetic and my cholesterol is a little high. So, I'm trying to move away from animal products and sugar.

I will occasionally have toast with peanut butter and banana on it, but that's so calorie dense, I only eat it on days I know I'll be doing a lot of physical activities. Most days I sit at a desk for 8-10 hours.

So really the only other thing I can think of is oatmeal. And eating a bowl full of something hot is the last thing I want to do after my morning walk. I'm in Texas so it's hot even when I go out at 5 AM.

I'm looking for ideas that can, preferably, be meal prepped or take less than 5 minutes to make. But I'm open to any ideas. Thanks!
