Not Jesus. It was quite easy to find from your description (laz-e-boy, racoons, 1996)

It's also keeping people from even considering linux for gaming so I don't share your sentiment. Like it or not, these games are insanely popular. My gaming buddies won't even think of switching to linux until 100% of the games they play are working on it, and that include "shitty MMO Battle Royale" I'm sorry to say.

Got greeted with this message today. I've been playing Apex on linux for more than a year. Not sure if this could be related? Is this just me?

I've contested the ban and I'm currently waiting for a response from ea support.

UPDATE : Got an email response from EA today. It's basically a generic message saying that my account was associated with "cheating practices" and so they will not remove the ban.

This is absolutely fucking ridiculous! I've been playing this game since 2020 and have 3K+ hours on record, now this shit happens and there's no recourse ? Fuck this company.

you have to tap a link to go to the actual, often cookie-walled, website

Kind of like how RSS/Atom is not useful anymore. Most feeds don't contain the actual articles, in an attempt to increase clicks and ad revenue. That's just sad, I miss the old internet.

Putting everything on discord makes information unsearchable via search engines, which is objectivily not great. This recent habit is contributing to killing the web.

On a more subjective note, I just don't like it. On the top of my head : Confusing interface, wont' shut up about nitro, requires a phone number.

To be fair, I didn't see the option on other lemmy apps I've tried, but I use the crosspost feature a lot on desktop, and would really love that feature on Boost.

The app is really nice tho, thank you for this great first release.
