In America and prettyuch worldwide. Inflation was a result of both Trump and Biden policies during covid and similar government policies worldwide. Not to mention, the pandemic itself. Trump didn't get inflation under control. He's risking a recurrence.woth tariffs.

Well, actually, it's "just desserts".

I did not like him on a trip.

Varies between airlines. Usually the non budget airlines are slightly better service and amenities but the difference is shrinking. However, the. Udger will have extra costs for everything, including luggage etc. so it depends on the cost difference.

No point saving $20 then paying $10 for luggage check and $10 for a snack.

Generally best to look at what's going to suit your schedule best unless the price difference is enough to change your plans around it. 6am departure can mean a 4am rise. You'll be tired at your destination. 9pn departure, you'll just sleep when you land and need to pay an extra days accommodation.

Like a train station?

Lol, title fail, but I finally got around to watching "Before Sunrise". I was taking a flight and loaded it onto my ipad. Then after takeoff, I realised I had the sequel, "Before Sunset". How lucky was I that the in flight entertainment had the one I wanted. Strange coincidence.

I now have the sequel to watch on the flight home. It's a night flight though, so I might try to sleep instead.

I enjoyed the movie but it wasn't the revelation I'd hoped it to be. I suppose that was inevitable after having it on my watchlist for years at this point. I enjoyed their banter and their evening but there were too many points where I felt they just continued the plot as planned but real people wouldn't have. Suspension of disbelief was what I'd hoped I wouldn't need.

Good for them. Part of what ended apartheid in South Africa was independent protests by workers refusing to work with South African products.

It's not marketing genius to have people talking a out how stupid your brand is, especially if you try to position yourself as a premium brand.

It's not a surprise that Netflix is winning. They haven't become HBO before HBO could become Netflix. But HBO stopped being able to be HBO.

Pretty much. App 2 app.

So pyramid schemes on both sides?

Lol, so NATO provoking Russia is saying that Ukraine could enter at some point. Russia invaded them as in the future, they may not be able to invade them?!

At no point has there ever been any indication that NATO countries would impact on Russian sovereignty without provocation. Russia doesn't want more NATO members as it wants to invade and control their neighbours when it wishes.

Democratically elected? Do you forget that Victor yanukovich had his competition jailed. Yulia Tymoshenko was democratically elected and was pro eu. She then lost a run off to him and he had her jailed.

Lol, they can't remember all the things they are outraged about. If you're expecting consistency and logic, you're talking about the wrong group.

When I go to a post with video media, on iPad, there doesn't seem to be a way to exit. For images, they can be swiped away or touch outside to exit. For videos, ice tried different gestures and there is no back button or X.

I use Android daily, with a back swipe gesture, but there is no such gesture I'm aware of on iPad. Does anyone know how or should I submit a bug or feature request?

I’m trying to set containers for some websites on a shared windows terminal with multiple users under the same login. We use some cloud software and each user has their own log in. Manually opening websites in container manager allows this, but I’m struggling to do so for opening in container for the home page.

Each log in just launches in the default container (unassigned). I’ve tried using bookmark tree, which seems to support containers, but I can’t get it to work. Assigning a site to always open in a container doesn’t seem to work either as it’s the same site for multiple users (which seems to be the purpose of multi account container), so if it always opens in container A, person B still needs to manually open in their container.

I just recently got the 190 update pushed. It mentioned lots of fixes. One was image handling.

I have found that now exiting an image is a bit slow or glitchy. A single gesture to go back does not exit and instead it needs two. Tapping an image instead still closes it but there is a delay that wasnt there before.

I'm on a pixel 7pro with gesture navigation.

My phone coverage stopped for a period. I was using connect at the time and a comment failed. I initially thought it was a big but noted after restarting, it still was out. Then I checked with a test search to find it was all internet.

A few minutes later internet was back. Went back into Lemmy and refreshed. No data showing. I checked down-for-me for my instance and it was up. Refreshed again. No data.

Again restarted app and it was fine then. So, it seems he connection outage did not allow refresh after it came back, despite a restart during the outage.
