What the fuck are you talking about with this irrelevant bullshit?

[-] ieatpillowtags@lemm.ee 4 points 23 hours ago

It’s possible you’re confused about the definition of the word “relevant”.

It’s ok we all know what you imagined

If you’ve ever used a siphon to drain a fish tank, it’s a similar concept. I believe the entrance is a bit higher than the exit, so I guess gravity and water pressure?

As the name of the school implies, it’s in the Appalachian mountains…so hundreds of miles from the sea?

Not exactly hurricane territory.

Get over yourself, no need to be so smug.

You’ll be downvoted again, but it’s more that you’re an ass than your being wrong. I’m going to go out on a limb and guess you were being a dick last time too.

How is this a relevant question? Nobody said anything about some governing body. There have been discussions on many instances about whether to federate with them or not, and it’s accurate to say that some people think we should.

It seems as though nobody in this thread actually read the article. They are not revealing user names on the site. The objection here is having the real name as part of your private profile data, in case of a future data breach. It’s a real concern, but orders of magnitude less serious than what everybody is assuming.

Shame on Ars for the misleading clickbait headline.

I think it’s enough to stop engaging with Reddit, there’s not much point in worrying about what you’ve already posted there imo.

The right response would be to discontinue sending ink, not disable the printer and preventing them from using the ink they already paid for.
