If you don't think the same of a vulva, then you're only outing yourself as having incredibly little imagination/experience with them. CIA couldn't have gotten that out of me, honestly.

Didn't the original GTA/RDR writers leave after finishing RDR2 anyway? Another worry I have is that this game will have none of the story/writing that made the previous games great, and is just a Rock star cash grab because they own the IP.

Again, the target audience loves that shit. I don't know if you've watched a game lately, but most of the advertisements now are split pretty evenly between:

  1. Jesus gets us ads
  2. Military propaganda ads
  3. Big truck ads
  4. Fast food ads

The NFL is a money-making machine, and it knows its audience. If they're doing this, they know their base will eat it up, and I 100% agree. Many people who haven't tuned in to a game in years will tune in to watch just to show support.

Truly, this is how fucked we are.

Unfortunately not. Their fans love this shit, seriously. Remember they're the same fans who went feral during the kneeling demonstrations.

I definitely get it. Ecological fallout keeps me up in cold sweats more nights than not. I'm not sure most people realize how bad it could get, either. All the trees in the world don't make enough oxygen to replace the oxygen we'd need if the cyanobacteria in the ocean dies out, and it's getting perilous with the acidification of the ocean.

That said, I do still see raising a child well as an act of hope for the future. As a parent, that's my most important mission. Could they possibly die/suffer? Yes, but unfortunately that's a risk that all parents run by having a child (and all people run by being alive), no matter what the cause turns out to be. Climate disaster, leukemia, car wreck, it all nets the same thing— pain and suffering for your child. I guess I just take the stance of the Man and the Boy in the Road: we're the ones that carry the fire, and we have to keep carrying it to keep hope and other good things alive.

I'm not saying everyone needs to have kids though! It's rewarding, but this shit is hard as fuck. It's not for everyone. Hell, it wasn't for me until I aged about three decades and did serious work on myself. Adoption is also an option, though harder to do than most people think unfortunately :/

While many beautiful things are passing away, that implies that there aren't still beautiful things here worth fighting for. I see value in bringing new people into the world and helping them love it and it's life like I do. The world needs more people who care fighting for it, not less.

That's hilarious, 2 was my number one choice, and 5 was runner up if 2 wasn't an option

You're missing the context of WHEN THEY ARE the targets. Women are more often on the receiving end for both. Just because one gender gets one type of violence more often, still doesn't mean they receive more instances of it over the other.

Read this whole thing and tries to shift the focus to himself and how it makes him feel. Amazing. Bear please.

Found this channel that fills the goth-knitting void I didn't realize existed. Really like this and her part 2 video, very fun for adding to the ravelry favorites board.

Someone in a different thread was asking for alt-fashion stuff, so I hope this helps a bit if you're a knitter or willing to learn! It's a great pass-time to keep your hands busy :)

The pattern is this one! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/baby-bear-hat-8

I made some adjustments, like starting with 8 rows of ribbing, then doing two kfb increases in row 9, before doing the rest of the pattern as described. I also picked up 10 stitches instead of 8 for the the ears, because of personal preference.

I was able to finish it in one evening, and I'm thinking of making another for his cousin that will be born just two months after him :)
