Aging does help! It's pretty freeing to care so little what others think.

I have the opposite problem: I have a hard time letting others get close to me. I'm very emotionally closed-off and as a result most of my friendships have been pretty surface-level. How the heck do you figure out who is safe to be emotionally vulnerable with?

Who's the beefcake? Looks like a jacked Tom Selleck.

I was intrigued about Sweet Almond Blossom, so I went and read the description. It says:

A fruity, floral, gourmand perfume. A blue sky natural high, all year round. A daydreamer's fantasy. A fragrance for the enchanting, ethereal, sensuous and hypnotic.

Smells like... Mouth-watering natural pomelo and juicy passionfruit float over clouds of delicate apple blossom. Creamy vanilla, sandalwood, and nutty tonka bean are beautifully balanced with explosions of other-worldly crisp green matcha tea.

... none of those words are almond, which is a surprise. From the name, I'd imagined this would smell like a floral marzipan, but the description doesn't sound like anything almond at all. Do you think it smells like almond? Because if yes, I'm intrigued to try it, but if no, I'll skip it.

I love indie makeup! A few suggestions for brands who have colorful palettes and whose formula I think it's pretty good:

For fragrances, I hear good things about Replica but haven't tried anything of theirs for myself. I've tried a bunch from Ellis Brooklyn and have really liked some of them (Scifi, Miami Nectar, Super Amber), but they're not as long-lasting as I'd like, so I find that I need to reapply once or twice during the day. Some of their scents are really nice for layering (Super Amber and Marshmallows, for example). Nice thing about Ellis Brooklyn is that you get two free sample vials with each purchase. Other fragrance brands which seem to be pretty popular are Kayali (their Yum Pistachio Gelato is soooo good) and Phlur (I love their Mood Ring scent).

Personal forcefield with a shape of my choosing, activate either by s simple device or algorithmically based on external factors. Great for safety but also handy as an umbrella.

Chocolatine or pain au chocolat?

For Doc Martens I do Bushwalk; everything else just gets normal lacing

I remember those too! Oh god I hated those.

Mine had a carpeted bathroom, which is such an obviously bad idea for a room with a bathtub in it, I still can't imagine what they were thinking.

Yes indeed! My grandmother had one, but I don't think it was Barbie specifically but a knockoff with dark hair. The doll had a blue dress and so she bought the blue toilet paper. I had completely forgotten about it!

I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 and I just got the new OneUI update. Now when I watch media in Jerboa there's an annoying scrolling notification that appears:

How do I get rid of this?

Also how do I get rid of whatever this is in my edge tray?

Thanks in advance!

Edit: I figured out the first one, search settings for the Now Bar and disable whatever you don't want to see

Hey friends. I've recently realized that what I thought were freckles is actually melasma, and my dermatologist has prescribed me tretinoin for it. I have very pale skin, generally normal in the winter and a little oilier in the T-zone during the summer, but it can dry out really badly with things like AHA. From what I've heard, tret is pretty drying. My dermatologist recommended that I start with applying it only two nights a week, and using a pea-sized amount mixed into my moisturizer. I use the Tatcha Water Cream moisturizer, which is pretty light and has been great for me, but with tret I'm wondering if I'll need a heavier moisturizer. I'm also worried that my usual double-cleansing will worsen the dryness from tret. I double-cleanse with an oil balm to remove my mineral sunblock, then with the Tatcha Rice Wash to get rid of the sunblock & oil balm residue. But I'm thinking the rice wash might be irritating because it's got a (mild) physical exfoliant, so maybe I need to find something else for my second cleanse?

Does anyone have any experiences to share about dryness on tret, or just starting tret in general? Anything I should be aware of? I'm weirdly nervous about it!

Ladies, help me choose nail polish for a St Paddy's Day fest this weekend! I will be wearing all the tacky plastic shamrock shit the grocery store will sell me (plus green eyeshadow). Here are the contenders (from left to right):

ILNP - Reminisce
ILNP - 1UP
Cirque Colors - High Society
Cirque Colors - Mood Ring (magnetic)
Cirque Colors - Ethel
Orly - It's Not Rocket Science
Sinful Colors - Calypso

Which one should I go with?

Since the last release, I find that gifs won't play in Jerboa anymore. For example, this comment just appears as a static image for me, even when I click on it. Do you see the same behavior?

Edit: solved by user merde alors:

did you enable "auto play GIFs" in settings>look&feel ?

Then close and reopen the app and that should fix it.
