He means programming language. Don't use programming languages that are controlled by a single company. Not "don't say CUDA when you mean any general purpose GPU programming language".

Humans vibrate the air in different and complicated ways. One vibration pattern humans like, another vibration pattern they don't like. sure this "speech" thing is really complicated. also symbols squibbled on surfaces. language, am I right?

I went back to university last year and exactly this. They have Microsoft subscription with all the bells and whistles, classroom, work material, homework, etc.

edit: I guess I just ADHDed in the middle of writing this comment. it was supposed to continue:

... zoom and all its options, plus a custom classroom web app that replicates some of Microsoft's stuff and all professors use WhatsApp for everything, and email only for delivering finals papers.

only thing keeping me is CUDA and there's no replacement for it. I know AMD has I-forgot-what-it's-called but it is not a realistic option for many machine learning tasks.
