Pika OS is looking pretty good. The website is saying all the things that I like!

The laptop has an RTX 4000 card so it looks like I'll need the specific OS, but I think it was the same as Pop OS. I had to download a specific Nvidia distro version as well, so it's very similar here. I'll give it a spin shortly!

As an English "whose-a-ma-whats-it", I feel like a lot of us don't care much for the monarchy as well. I don't speak for all obviously. Many of my friends need to keep up with Royal Family drama for some reason.

In short, government measures—like removing U.S. wine from store shelves or imposing tariffs—had clear, measurable impacts. The same cannot be said of consumer boycotts. While individual choices may have shifted behaviour at the margins, the data reveal no consistent or large-scale changes in imports outside of tariffed goods.

I was hoping I'd see more elbows up consumer-wise. I know there has been less travel in general.

I use Amethyst on Mac and it's quite good but it is a fancy repositioning system because it bugs out a few times a day and I need to force a refresh.

I mean ... you don't have to tell me that my opinion isn't popular, it's demonstrable. My opinion is statistically insignificant.

There's a plethora of other things I'd give up like have a slighter bigger phone or a worse camera or wireless charging... I'd also trade those for an SD card slot but no one agrees with me and it's just something I need to live with.

Remember that he's got the votes though. He's still got the general election to go through but despite all this hatred ... a majority saw through it. Let's hang onto some hope. The world is so shitty right now.

I was just hoping a phone like fairphone would give me the option to buy a small module or something to let me do it.

Yes, yes there's adapters .... yes, yes, you don't need to use it ... I understand. I just want it.

Aren't there fewer for 100? 2, 4, 5, 10, 25, 50

For 60, it's 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30

This is why people on Lemmy can be naive. A lot of people on Lemmy say the Dems need to take X position or need Y policies to get the Republican voter base.

It doesn't matter. They vote against their best interests and they'll do it again. They have no beliefs.

I thought they launched a crypto coin or something, so maybe they still do fraud.

The Onion News Network -- 11 years ago

It's a story from April, I tried seeing if it was posted before, however it's the story about how the advertising and finance team beat the search team into submission by ousting the core person protecting it to pursue "growth" and "revenue" at all costs.

Just popped up in my feed. I loved Starship Troopers as a kid, not knowing the satire underneath. Anyways, it's a nice interview.
