Maybe he has a personal interest in this?

edit:

The amendment would also reduce the designation of incest by contact to a Class D felony for some cases "unless it is committed with a person who is less than twelve years of age," in which case it is Class C.

uhhhhhhhhhhh…. that age cutoff seems low

These videos were from 4 hours ago and there’s still torrential rain now.

edit: in case anyone is wondering, no, I am not mattweiss

edit: so this is how it’s been going… it rained most of last night, started the morning with flood warnings until 8:30am, then was revised to 11:30am, then again until 7:15pm. It is currently 7:22p, and no end in sight yet.

Part of the problem is a phenomenon called “training”, where instead of storms just passing through, they’ll get stuck on the mountain and will pass over the same areas multiple times like a train on tracks. You just have to hope something eventually changes to blow itself off and away from the track.

The new feature to identify cross posts is great, and understanding that it isn’t perfect, can another be implemented to filter out those posts and just leave the original?

“It’s not common,” Tristan Snell, a former assistant attorney general for New York State, told the Lawfare podcast after Trump’s impromptu courtroom remarks on Thursday. “That’s the kind of thing that someone would do if they were a criminal defendant with mental health problems.”

Checks out.

tl;dr: key shops... use https://gg.deals as a finder

For those who didn't know, whenever Humble Bundle or other services have a package available, you can usually find the individual titles for even cheaper than you normally would at keyshops if you don't want/need the whole package.

For example, this month's Humble Choice is $11.99, but I only wanted to add Aragami 2, The Red Lantern, and Twin Mirror to my collection.

Using the above gg.deals website, it pointed me to:

  • Aragami 2 - driffle - $2.41
  • The Red Lantern - kinguin - $0.78
  • Twin Mirror - kinguin - $1.27

Total: $4.46

Those prices were the final I paid after discount codes and service fees, but may change at any time for better or worse at different shops.

Hope this is helpful to someone, this concludes this PSA.

edit: regarding possible scams from gray markets

I have purchased literally hundreds of steam keys from such shops over the years and have had a grand total of only 3 keys be removed from my account within days or weeks, and was granted refunds from the shops when I provided proof from Steam that the keys were rejected as duplicates. Every game I’ve installed other than those 3 have worked without issues. It’s an educated risk that I failed to mention because it’s been over 99% successful for me. Make your own call.

edit2: Also worth mentioning that there are many games in my Steam account that were added after the games were delisted, such as the original GTA Trilogy, solely because I could still find keys on keyshops. If you want a delisted game, it’s worth considering.

Republican Rep. Jim Jordan keeps trying to insert himself into local law enforcement investigations. His targets keep telling him to go away.

And there’s not much he can do about it.

Electrek heard from a source that Tesla informed Disney+ last week that it would remove its native app from the Tesla Theatre in its vehicles without giving a reason as to why.

A few days later, Tesla told Disney that it would only remove the app for Tesla owners who never used the app before.

The automaker now appears to have acted on the threat, as many Tesla owners are reporting not seeing the Disney+ app in Tesla Theatre anymore. Others, presumably those who have used the app before, are still seeing the app available in their cars.

We were told that Tesla didn’t officially give a reason to Disney, but the message was sort of “read between the lines.”

Far-right Republicans like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and former President Donald Trump have praised Johnson’s promise to release the footage, saying it will “prove” that the activities of Jan. 6, 2021, were peaceful.

Only morons and guilty people believe this. I saw evidence to the contrary on live broadcast.

Hannity also groused that Republicans’ push to ban abortion in states across the country, as well as the reversal of the federal right to abortion, meant that “Democrats are trying to scare women into thinking Republicans don’t want abortion legal under any circumstances.”

When Republicans keep saying things like “total abortion ban”, yeah, we get that impression.

edit: fucking Texas is trying to make it illegal to drive to get around their abortion ban
