I'm not sure how they could fix that without having to change the entire database schema, and how to keep the posts and comments IDs in sync across the fediverse without breaking all the posts and the comments made prior to that change without processing a bunch of entries.

[-] mp3@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 days ago

Comments and posts are using different IDs per instance so those can't be linked using a relative path. However you can use https://lemmyverse.link for those.

Ex: this post

It's just a relative link, it will bring you to the /modlog of your home instance.

The only time I will find acceptable the presence of an online service in a mostly single player game is when it complements it, and will still operate gracefully if disconnected.

Fuck these games that just stops working when they pull the plug on the servers.

Why don't you?

I like eating my fries with sour cream.

Any company trying to use the HDMI-CEC protocol in such a subversive manner should lose their license to the HDMI standard IMO.

So good luck figuring out which one you need to remove if you need to do a cleanup.

Note-taking software available on desktop and mobile, of course based on the Markdown syntax, including some extra support for KaTeX, mhchem and Mermaid notation, on top of several plugins.

It can also be set up to sync on a cloud storage, Syncthing and has encryption capabilities builtin.

Description

It allows you to use an existing Markdown document, and make it pretty and viewable with formatting straight out of the box straight in a web browser, no fancy viewer or convertion required.

How to use it

Simply place the following string at the bottom of your .md file

<!-- Markdeep: --><style class="fallback">body{visibility:hidden;white-space:pre;font-family:monospace}</style><script src="markdeep.min.js" charset="utf-8"></script><script src="https://morgan3d.github.io/markdeep/latest/markdeep.min.js" charset="utf-8"></script><script>window.alreadyProcessedMarkdeep||(document.body.style.visibility="visible")</script>

and then append .html to the file extension (ex: file.md.html)

You can them open it with any web browser and view it with a table of content, clickable links, etc.

Why ?

It makes it quite simple to deploy as a static HTML file, and you can leverage the Markdown syntax for its readability if you need to edit it.

I'll keep using Firefox and be extremely vocal about websites that won't support it. I mean that's all I can really do.
