I read shit like this and the only thing I can find comfort in is the fantasy of imprisoning every billionaire in those rooms from Black Mirror with the wall-to-wall screens and just forcing them to watch shit like this 24/7 until they beg for the wall

This is more or less what I told them every time they had the nerve to prompt me for feedback.

I'm learning FreeCAD, now.

Somehow, the algo blessed me with this tiny indigenous marxist channel/podcast. There's not a whole lot of updates that would be news to us newsheads, but there's lots of great historical analysis (such as tying a thread through US colonialism > zionism > modern US imperialism) sprinkled throughout that I think makes this a very solid vid to give to those liberals in your life that are open to radicalization.

No, but reading this thread is tempting me to check it out. I never bothered with HOTD, but I guess it doesn't hurt to throw AKOTSK on the server pirate-jammin

I was a little off on the specifics, but it's really funny seeing this shit in the wild now. Western tech companies are punching themselves in the dick so hard that Chinese fabs don't even need to beat western consumer offerings, they just have to exist. (But they'll be beating them soon, too.)

The fact that passwords were leaked must mean they were stored in plaintext, which is fucking security 101 shit. This Sherman Austin dude is either an op, or so profoundly and dangerously incompetent that any other activists should treat him as radioactive and not even trust him to fold zines, much less run a fucking database.

I don't think it matters to them, tbh I'm expecting the midterms to be the deathblow to US liberal democracy. ICE agents are gonna be terrorizing swing districts if not outright raiding voting centers, and I can't imagine that the current Trump & co. would honor results that they know will strip of them power. Idk, just feels like the current Trump coalition is pretty deadset on ending liberal democracy, and that's gonna include ignoring/throwing out any election results they don't like.

Here's a pretty good vid explaining the Linux filesystem if you really wanna dig into it. I think it covers some differences between distros, too IIRC.

I did this recently, my only regret was not doing it sooner. posadist-nuke

geordi-no Public transit feeling like friction for any of its passengers

geordi-yes Feeling the friction of public transit running over porky-scared-flipped tied to the tracks (their wealth was expropriated to make public transit clean, safe, and efficient for everyone else)

Holy shit, that keynote cringe We're ruled by fucking dorks. Dweebs, even.

One of the comments stood out to me:

I feel like a cow watching a keynote about streamlining slaughterhouses

yea

Kinda funny watching Pokémon games slowly devolve into the kind of jank shit you'd find on Steam pushed out by a solo dev who used mostly generic assets, except it's a Nintendo flagship priced at $70 joker-stare

Holding out for buddy-christ DLC

Honey keylogs coupon codes (including private employee, friends, and family codes) and then just nakedly extorts the businesses like they're the fucking internet mafia i-cant

Anyways, obviously instead of suffering any consequences Honey has instead launched an entire industry of hundreds of affiliate-stealing and business-extorting browser extensions. Even Microsoft is on the bandwagon! Further proof that the amerikkka economy is just a nesting doll of scams and grifts.

I'm joined by Cira Pasqual Marquina, author and educator at the Pluriversidad Patria Grande and co-host with Chris Gilbert of the Marxist education program and podast Escuela de Cuadros. I ask her: how are Venezuelans seeing this buildup? What is the analysis of the regional context? Why is the US doing this now? What the Venezuelan revolution is really about. And some speculations for the "day after" the US attack happens.
