The lethal company, casual fun if you can find 2-3 friends to play.

The cargo bike boom has brought us some really decent ways to transport small children and stuff by bike, I actually think it's quite possible to use is you live in a not so small town. There are accessories to weather proof the cargo area, there are Iso-fix mounts for child seats and once the child can sit by itself it's usually quite a joy for them as well. These bikes are also protecting the child in case of a fall much better than you would think.

However I really do understand that a car is significantly more convenient. I live in rural Germany and there distances can easily amount to 10-15km one way to run errands such as going to the pediatrician. It's just a bit much, particularly with a toddler. And the car really does become storage for clothes and all that, you can just park it and everything in there is dry and safe, all that makes the car very attractive. Also a decent cargo bike with kids-friendly accessories will run you as much as a cheap small used car, although only the initial cost of course.

The key to bad weather is decent clothes, and children can easily be weather proofed for the most part. My kid is three now and I've seriously considered switching over to a bike, but only to replace the second car that I frequently use because my partner will need one to go to work anyways. But running the car cost me around 250€ every month (I keep track of every expense except cleaning) and that is only as long as nothing major breaks. Upkeep of even a large cargo bike is a fraction of that.

Notably the homepod mini had thread radios and could act as a thread router as one of the earliest devices out there, might be that apple is going to push harder for this and has plans for it's own thread enabled Smart Home products.

I think snow and ice would be better at reflecting but we seem to get rid of those ice caps.. But when the ice melts, it cools down the ocean so of course, problem solved!

Serious question because I've never heard the term: what is a family medicine doctor?

What other solutions would you propose to the problem of meat production contributing 18.5%?

I give you an upvote just because you say you don't rewatch movies often, but then proceed to list your top 12 movies ordered by most rewatched :D Brilliant!

Very interesting take, I can agree with a lot of it. I live in Germany and for a few years now, you can buy a version of the Citroen Ami (there is an Opel Version here which is the exact same 'car' but with more marketing in Germany, called the 'Rocks E'). The car has about 75km or range (prob lably 60 realistically), two seats, is fully enclosed, has a heater - decent little thing if you do mostly short trips. It's built to be easily repairable, many parts are used multiple times in the vehicle and basically it's all just plastic trim around a steel frame. I've seriously considered it since I live in a rural area but most of my trips are 5-10km, I work from home. It's not regulated like a car, it does not need car insurance and isn't taxed, and is therefore significantly cheaper to run. You can charge basically with any wall outlet, it doesn't fast charge anyway. In Germany, you can legally drive this car at 16 years of age with a license. The downside? Aside from being a less comfortable overall experience, you can't go faster than 45 km/h. That is just a tad too slow for my taste, since rural streets here allow for either 100 or 70, I'd like to be less of a hindrance all the time. I think in a city, this would be fine, you can't go faster than 50 most of the time anyway.

The price for one of these to purchase is around 8.000 euros, that's not huge but you can get very decent used cars for less money, that's probably why these won't catch on here. But I do like the concept , just maybe let me go 60 in it

From the speed you mention this looks a lot like 100mbit, is there perhaps any device in the chain that only has a 100mb lan port? The pi should have gigabit

That's just dedication, right on!

I don't quite recall what I did but on my first ever play through of final fantasy 7 I messed up in a way that would never allow me to breed chocoboos, or at least getting the one that allows you to get to the island where you can get knights of the round. I've finished the game without ever knowing what that summon looked like and it annoyed me greatly. I've replayed it years later and used guides to make sure I wouldn't miss out this time
