I think you meant to say nix lol.

Is Homebrew any good on Linux tho?

I think it's also important to mention Typst here (https://typst.app/) even tho it's not directly related to the question. Typst is basically much faster LaTeX alternative with reasonable syntax. For example, take a look at this theme: https://typst.app/universe/package/calmly-touying

even if all of them are pedophiles, you need to talk to them if you want best for this country: you need to change people's opinions through discussions. this is the only way. It's other half of the country. if all of them are pedos then we won't have enough prison cells.

I don't understand why right and left just isolate themselves from each other: half goes to reddit, half goes to Lemmy. we need to have a platform where both parties can talk to each other and change others minds on things. and Lemmy is much more suited for that.

Yes, I think DDG is actually being quite reasonable with its AI integrations so I have nothing against it and would rather have it than not.

Can you describe why you think its better than Qwant or DDG? I tried it but didn't felt that much difference to have an account for search engine.

For some reason having a flag of any group / org always feels like an extreme radical support. To the point when it looks bad no matter what the flag is promoting.

I feel like this is due to flags providing too little information on your actual views and just screams "I love X". In reality it's always better to properly explain why do you actually like that and what parts of it aren't that good. Because there is always something not that good. In a perfect world flags would work if they act as a conversation starter about your actual views and opinions. But in real world people don't often ask those questions and just make assumptions.

I would actually make a flag that says "I love X. Let's talk about why" to help ignite those conversations instead of making assumptions.

Imagine if TikTok automatically tagged all content with #misogyny, #racism, #sexism and so on. And then published monthly reports on society trends. Like "In Feb 2026 racism went down 12%, misogyny went up 5%". I think it would be incredibly insightful and helpful.

While article tries to promote social media ban for under 16s, I strongly believe its just a way to sweep the problem under the rug. I think much more reasonable approach is to recognize those trends and deal with them through education and better parenting.
