Trump has now ordered NIST to reverse their recommendation on Rust.

It wasn't until all this kicked off that I learned just how many companies that I thought were European were in fact owned by American conglomerates.

Which makes MAGA's "the world is taking advantage of America" rhetoric all the more infuriatingly hypocritical. You spent decades using the strong dollar to go on a massive global shopping trip buying up every other country's companies, and are now crying foul that those companies you own are supplying their local markets instead of importing from the US?

Also, screw it, #79 should be Aurium.

You'd really be fucking Spandau Ballet over with that one.

The arrogance of assuming that anyone who didn't vote or who voted third party, just automatically owe your party their vote.

The entrenched two-party system has done more to cripple democracy in America than any other factor, and yet it's so pervasive that y'all whip each other into line trying to shame anyone who tries to break free of it.

Human civilization is built on co-operation and trade.

There's no winners here - Trump is punishing Americans and foreigners alike, and making the whole of humanity collectively worse for him being there, all because he can't let go of the idea that everything is a zero-sum game where the other guy losing means you won.

Or, here's a crazy idea, the US could start meeting the basic safety and animal welfare standards that the entirety of Europe long ago decided was the basic minimum required for something to be suitable for human consumption.

Boggles my mind how all these people desperately trying to whip everyone into supporting the two-party system, just assume that third-party voters and non-voters automatically owe their vote to their party. The sheer vanity and arrogance of it.

Yeah. Forcing himself on women was entirely consistent with his public persona, but shifting hard right just to seek cover makes it so much scummier.

Or it's rendered at 1080 and upscaled...

When an influential group of powerful people make hate speech a part of their standard rhetoric, is EXACTLY when you MUST block it on your platform, not a signal that it's time to start letting it slide, you fucking pricks.

I guess not so much in the grander scheme of things, but it’s astonishing and depressing in equal measures that Britain doesn’t seem able to have kept hold of any of its own beloved home-grown brands.
