Is that common?

Nowadays I just don't know anynore. I find toilets where it's swapped.

I also want to say that I grew up with toilets where the bigger button is the one for your more common usecase - liquid waste. Oftern the smaller button is set up to push the bigger button as well - to clean solid waste.

If using a new toilet, I always try out the bigger button first, since it's easier to press and typically uses less water.

That's a working model, but I think there are different types of relationships. A type of relationship would be an element of the power set of { friendship, romance, sex }.

One person might only like relationships without sex, another might dislike the whole romance part,...

Each of these aspects of a relaionship has their advantages and disadvantages. The relationship as a whole is just the sum of them.

Yes, Taler by design allows identifiction of the receiver.

It does not reveal the sender.

It allows you to create and arbitrate your own tokens and to create your own "bank".

Here's a Video doing a good job at explaining it jn detail.

I have three things to say:

  1. Everyone, please make sure you've set up sound disk encryption
  2. That's not a suprise (for me at least)
  3. It's not much different on mobile (db is unecrypted) - check out molly (signal fork) if you want to encrypt it. However encrypted db means no messages until you decrypt it.

I cleaned my bin.

All that's left is a symlink: sh -> /nix/store/...

Nix has an open issue on integrating IPFS support.

There's also an old tutorial.

What would you tell a direct ancestor of yourself, living in the year 2024?

I'm sick of having my pants rip and tear from light daily use.

Preferrably available in Europe.

FreeTube has built in SponsorBlock, you can tell it to automatically and seamlessly skip sections of videos, such as sponsors, self ads, intros, outros,...

You're playing Devils Advocate, and you probaly know it xD

Anyway, I prefer NixOS for it's declarativity, reproducibility and immutability.

Example: You want nginx with acme setup? Just tell it to, and NixOS will figure out the steps to reach the desired state.

This question is not restricted to online communities like lemmy, the scope also encompasses communities like small villages, interest groups (i.e. for hobbies) and political parties.
