Hamas is far more anti Israel than pro Gaza. Yes, Israel is anti Gaza, but Hamas does not represent what we want, or the waymost of us in Gaza want Israel or Jews to be treated. They are not freedom fighters, they are terrorists who have the same enemy as us.
I think you overestimate how many Palestinians believe this. I'm my family in gaza, we had Jewish friends. My father was best friends with a jew for many years. So many of us just want to live in peace, alongside people who do not want to kill us. Yes, there are a few zealots who believe this, and many leaders base their power directly on their bloodlust for Israel. Most of them hate Israel and their actions more than thier religion. I know Israel is much the same to us. If everyone who truly believes this died in one night, there would be no mourning for them, and a great cry of peace and relief would reach to the heavens, saying " let God sort out religions when we die, and not people sort out when we die by religion ".

It is very sad for me too see this. America was always held up as an example to me, as a giant melting pot of different cultures and classes, where women and queer and minority people and everyone could be friends alongside everyone. I don't know what changed , or if that was just a dream. It seems like people just stick with the people and cultures they know and grew up with here, for the most part. Still much better rights for me than in Gaza, maybe it just " grass is perfect on the other side of fence, until you get there." kind of thing.

Yes, I have been in a few clubs for about a year, but it seems like people just show up for the meeting an activities, and then leave. It's not what I am used to, where a small thung turns into many days and many people coming by to talk, trade stories... do you talk to the people you meet outside of a group of people? I do not what impose or be rude to people if that is not what is normal here.
