I ran a small business and found the opposite to be true (particularly with people straight out of college) if given training and support, respected and incorporated their ideas, and provided transparency into the running of and health of the business. My take away isn't that people don't want to work, it's that they want to be valued.

Aren't there more than two whistleblowers? I know of at least one more, so I assumed there were others

How is it that no company has union busted by handing out shares of the business to their workers?

Side note: E Jean Carroll has had an impressive career that is overlooked because of this one incident she did not want. She was a gonzo journalist, wrote for playboy, wrote for SNL, and wrote a biography about Hunter S Thompson. It is a shame Donald Trump is what she will be remembered for. Here's an article with some of her career: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2023/04/28/e-jean-carroll-journalist-writer-new-york/11752140002/

I saw an economist recently speak and he touched on the topic of oil. Beyond using it for power, it is deeply rooted in everything we do by way of plastic (in your car, on your TV, fast food containers, Barbie boxes, coffee makers, and so on). Practically speaking, giving up oil will take a while, so we should start the process sooner rather than later. Super interesting presentation.

My dog judges my parenting. She barks and snorts if I don't help the kids quickly enough.

I know it differs pretty wildly, but in King County Washington (Seattle and Bellevue are here) the median home price (condos included) is $830k. That means you have to earn $184k or $88/hour to afford a home, which is insane.
