Why does it seem when people quit smoking years later they get lung cancer or some sorts of cancer? Like alcoholic's quit drinking and usually die of something they'd die of while drinking? in c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

Anyone who has done any fight training at all, even for simulations, could "wipe the floor" with me.

How come Mark Wahlberg got a pass for being the crap out of a Vietnamese guy. But Kevin Spacey, Bill Cosby, Weinstein, do not get a pass? Beside the sexual aspect what is the difference? in c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

I think one purpose for that type of plastic bollard is it allows emergency vehicles to drive right through.
