Absolutely no idea where to post its to serious for those crazy idea communities but to crazy for actual tech forums so thought f it il post it here.

Why couldn't we train open and free AI by combining the power of PCs of nerds worldwide through some clustering system or something to train it.

I don't want to shit post here or anything but i'm legitimately interested why this couldn't work?

Honestly i would go a step back and a step further. Advertising to children is still profitable at least outside the eu and age checks generate friction in using the platforms witch would probably lead to them losing some casual users. I think the reason they and the governments want the IDs is control. They now with 98% certainty who you are. Data brokers, "law enforcement", advertisers can follow you all over the internet and cross reference you. I know that's already been done but you only have certainty in maybe 50% percent or so idk. A international place where people are somewhat private is a great win for democracy if used right.

If u accidentally us the wrong type of variable it outputs en error when compiling. That's one of the main pros of statically typed languages and why the most reliable scripts are written in them to my knollidge. I'm sure there a languages out there where u can us boolean as a int or float but non i know. Not that i would consider my self a programmer but i asked the myself the same questions when i started.

Yes and no in most cases it is used to limit misuse somewhat but i absolutely agree that its taking over hand. God bless trashmails.

tbh I dk the context of the person who made the post. By this writing and her adding "in America :(" could be both a classic case of shit an American sad as well as commenting on America. Btw as a radical Left German i heard enough people say the healthcare here is to generous but they had the money to afford privet.
